🇺🇸 We asked American coaches the biggest mistakes athletes make when applying to universities and their answers made one thing clear: knowing the process matters, and having the right agency can make all the difference in earning your spot at an American university.

Want to get noticed by coaches? Join us at the International Showcase in Madrid this July, from 4–10. ⚽️🏀

What did our participant from Norway think about the showcase? 🇳🇴⚽

We asked about the facilities, the people, and what it means to have the opportunity to play football and study in the USA.

Moments like these show what the SIS Scholarships Showcase is all about: opening doors for student-athletes to chase their goals on and off the field.

What are the biggest mistakes athletes make when applying to American universities?

We asked Assistant Coach Tyler Sobey from Louisiana State University to share his perspective. 🏀

In this reel, he talks about the most common errors student-athletes, shares his experience at the showcase, and explains why events like SIS Showcase are such an important opportunity for players who want to compete and study in the U.S! 🇺🇸

Highlights can look amazing… but coaches need the full picture. 👀⚽️

We asked Alex Ferreira (Head Men’s Soccer Coach, College of Southern Idaho) why showcases like SIS matter:

Coaches evaluate the little things you can’t always see on video:
• work rate + attitude
• decision-making under pressure
• communication + leadership
• how you respond after mistakes
• real game intensity

That’s why showcases are a game-changer!

🎓 Dreaming of studying in the USA?
SIS is here to help you make it happen! 🇺🇸

We asked students in the USA if studying in America actually feels like the movies.” 🎬🇺🇸

There are definitely moments that really feel unreal! Walking across campus, meeting people from everywhere, cheering at a game for the first time, studying in a library that looks like a film set, and realizing: this is my life now.

⚽️ This is exactly why we do what we do at SIS: helping students turn the “movie idea” of studying in the U.S. into something real!

We asked a student-athlete from Norway what he liked most about the SIS International Showcase in Madrid…

He said it’s big, intense, and full of extreme opportunities 💪

Now he is studying at Greenville University in Illinois because the opportunities are even bigger there! ⚽️
