The change from one Russian level to another, just like in life, requires some efforts and knowledge where to go.
Here are some steps from my experience that may help you:

1. We start listening to authentic Russian. If at the elementary levels A1, A2 we use adapted material, at B1 we can already add a living language as it is. It is interesting to start by watching easy series.

2. We work with our weak points, what is more difficult for you: writing, speaking, listening, reading - and put all efforts there. This way you can start feeling more confident in Russian.

3. We try new things to increase our long-term motivation: a new Russian textbook, a new teacher, a new group.

4. We turn Russian into a tool: we learn IN the language something that is interesting for us (art, geography, etc.)

5. Practise! We improve productive skills (speaking and writing) with native speakers. Fortunately, on the Internet, there are so many opportunities to participate in a language exchange.

6. Praise yourself, even if your progress is not as fast as you would like to. You've already overcome such a long way from zero Russian to intermediate!

😉What helps you to progress in Russian most?

🇪🇸 El cambio de un nivel de ruso a otro, al igual que en la vida real, requiere cierto esfuerzo y del conocimiento a dónde dirigirse. Aquí hay algunos pasos de mi experiencia que pueden ayudaros:

1. Empezamos a escuchar la lengua auténtica. Si en el nivel elemental A1, A2 usamos principalmente material adaptado, en B1 ya podemos empezar con la lengua tal cual como es. Es interesante empezar viendo series sencillas.

2. Trabajamos con nuestros puntos débiles. ¿Qué es lo más difícil para vosotros: escribir, hablar, escuchar, leer - y dirigimos todos los esfuerzos allí. De ese modo nuestra confianza en ruso crece.

3. Probamos cosas nuevas para aumentar la motivación a largo plazo: un nuevo libro de texto ruso, maestro, grupo de compañeros.

4. Hacemos del ruso un medio, no un fin: aprendemos EN el idioma algo que nos interesa: arte, geografía, etc.✅ Leed más en comentarios ⬇️

🌍Do you like "snow on your head" / как снег на голову/ surprises?
They sometimes happen to me, for example: when you just hang your clothes to dry in the sun and it starts raining, just like "snow on your head".🤦🏻‍♀️
✅This Russian expression means an unexpected and often negative event and it comes from the fact that it was necessary to be prepared for the Russian winter in advance, especially in the village: to finish work in the fields, to stock up on food and clothing for the long winter months. When cold weather took you by surprise, snow was often a problem.

A mí a veces me suceden, por ejemplo, cuando tiendes la ropa para que se seque al sol y comienza a llover, "como nieve en la cabeza".🤦🏻‍♀️
✅Esta expresión rusa significa un evento inesperado y a menudo negativo, viene de la necesidad de prepararse para el invierno ruso con anticipación, especialmente en el campo: terminar los trabajos en la tierra,, abastecerse de alimentos y ropa para los largos meses de invierno. Cuando el frío te toma por sorpresa, la nieve suele ser un problema.

🌍Do you like to hold on to the past? Probably, we all have moments when we try "to look for yesterday" = "искать вчерашний день".
✅This Russian expression means "to look for something that no longer exists" or "to engage in meaningless activity."
✅This phrase is associated with the German prince Johann Friedrich, who said to his jester: "Diem perdidi / I lost this day." So, he replied: "Tomorrow we will do a good search and, probably we'll find the day you lost.
✅You can find such a dialogue:
-So many years have passed! Do you remember how it used to be?
- Let's not "look for yesterday".
😉I think it's good to return to the present on time and look at the future with hope.

✅ La frase está asociada al príncipe alemán Juan Federico, quien dijo a su bufón: "Diem perdidi / Perdí este día." A lo que él le contestó: "Mañana buscaremos y posiblemente encontraremos el día que Usted perdió".
✅En una conversación podemos encontrar un diálogo así:

🌍🌿THE SCENT OF RUSSIA
🖐🏻Good morning everyone!
When I smell dill, it definitely reminds me Russia. It never fails. In Russia you can find dill in all gardens and in many dishes.
😅 It was very surprising to me when I discovered that in Spain this plant is not so easy to find.
✔️The word УКРОП /ukrOp/= "dill" comes from Greek and means "fragrant", quite reasonable 😉. And as for me, dill smells like pure life.

Cuando huelo eneldo, definitivamente me acuerdo de Rusia. Es infalible 100 por ciento. El eneldo crece en todos los huertos y se usa en muchos platos rusos.
😅Me sorprendió mucho que en España esta hierba no sea tan fácil de encontrar.
✔️La palabraУКРОП /ukrOp/= "eneldo" proviene del griego y significa "fragante", lo cual es muy razonable.😉 Y para mi eneldo huele a pura vida.

🖐🏻Доброго всем дня!
Когда я слышу запах укропа, я обязательно вспоминаю Россию. Это 100-процентная ассоциация. Укроп растёт во всех огородах и кладётся во множество российских блюд.
😅Для меня было очень удивительно, что в Испании эту зелень не так уж легко найти.
✔️Слово "укроп" происходит из греческого и означает "благоухающий", что очень даже обоснованно. 😉 А ещё для меня он пахнет жизнью.
