However, there is something more important we want to share:
Self-caring is a key life skill to feel happy and complete. We teach this in our methodology. But to be able to teach it, we need to practice it first. We are getting involved in new projects and to succeed in them we need to avoid the burnout so common among teachers. How we do it? Here a tip: use your energy to cooperate not to fight against your own people.
As an example, after a turbulent class at the end of the day, full of children whishing to start the weekend, a teacher has two main options to deal with the situation. One is fighting against the class with an authoritative attitude so most students do not move but you will spend a lot of energies fighting against them. In this case, the teacher gets usually disturbed and end up tired and burnt out.
The other option is letting them express, playing with their curiosities and making them realize that if they cooperate the atmosphere will be better. Don't take it personally. It is not a war against them. And you will come back home happier, enjoy the afternoon hiking and swimming and still with very good energies to spend some time during the weekend advancing in your education projects 😊

Keep these maxims in mind to improve your speaking and listening skills. As a Spanish saying says "In a closed mouth, flies do not enter".
They can be fun ;) But flouting them may have hidden purposes.
