☀️ This summer, I finally took the opportunity to try something I’d been meaning to experiment with for a while: acrylic markers.
I gathered a selection from different brands, all aimed at illustration. Unfortunately, I couldn’t include any of the modeling brands that are now adding this type of paint to their catalogs — something I’d definitely like to explore in the future.
For this project, I used an orc bust from BoBo Rhino , sculpted by Marcelo Boasso. It was a gift from my Greek friends — thank you, Christos Panagiotopoulos! 🇬🇷
The result was quite satisfying. Acrylic markers are fast, convenient, and incredibly easy to use. However, I did miss having a bit more control and definition in some areas.
I’m especially curious to try markers with a brush tip rather than a felt tip. I think they could open up many more possibilities for miniature painting.
Experimenting, learning, and trying new tools. That’s half the fun. 🎨
He aprovechado este verano para probar algo que tenia pendiente, los rotuladores acrílicos. Recopilé algunos rotuladores de diferentes marcas, pero todos ellos pensados para la ilustración. No he podido incluir ninguno de las marcas de modelismo que están incorporando este tipo de pintura a sus catálogos.
Para ello he utilizado un busto de un orco que me regalaron mis amigos griegos de la marca BoBo Rhino y modelado por Marcelo Boasso. ¡Gracias, Christos Panagiotopoulos!
El resultado ha sido satisfactorio por la rapidez y comodidad del trabajo, pero he echado en falta mayor definición. Me he quedado con ganas de probar los rotuladores que incorporan un pincel en lugar de fieltro para ampliar las posibilidades. Seguiremos experimentando.
