✈️🏙Travel story ahead! 😅

Let’s consider the importance of our word choice. I mean, don’t we all really want to say exactly what we mean?

When I first moved to Spain in January of 2020, I found myself unable to do just that. I realized that all of the information I’d retained from my university Spanish courses was practically… nada. You may think to yourself, “yikes!” but you would have outwardly cringed by my sheer awkwardness in a simple grocery store or post office setting. During this first week of living in Madrid, I told myself that I was going to need to figure something out–and quickly–as I really needed to order the right type of meat from the ‘Charcutería’ before my lunchtime sandwiches suffered. Yes, they are a big deal to me. 🤣😋

This necessity led me to discover a unique methodology, based on neuroscientific principles of learning combined with the elicitation of spontaneous language, to speed-up my language learning.

A word is one of the simplest parts of any language, sure. However, finding the right one is a different story. If you have ever struggled to find the words to properly express yourself in English, find solace in the notion that millions of language learners around the world suffer the same frustrations (myself included).

The best way to get past the obstacle of building vocabulary and fluency is to immerse yourself in the new language with every opportunity. Admittedly, this is easier said than done. But luckily, I have spent the last 3 years and counting figuring out the “hard stuff” so that I can deliver English lessons that fulfill learners’ desires to properly express themselves.
