Great News from TRAUMA Training

We have started running DMT Courses based in Mexico.
We are collaborating with Sesamet (https://sesamet.com/en/681-2/) who have been involved in the Comercial Diving Industry for some time running dive medicals & providing DMAC 15 kits.

Their centre is based in Cuidad Carmen in Mexico, this has excellent international flight links.

Dr Maza & Andrea from Sesamet traveled over to Spain & worked closely with my team to replicate the DMT program I have been offering now for 12 years.

For the last 18 months the Full DMT program has been a 50% e-learning program. On booking you will be enrolled on a comprehensive TRAUMA Training e-learning package. It comprises of Video presentations & quizzes. It can be studied at your leisure will continue to be an important DMT resource to you for years to come. The attendance portion of the course is just 5 days… but these are five action packed days that really concentrate on the practical aspect of being a medic. Sesamet The Diver Medic Technician (DMT) course is an International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) approved certification that is recognised internationally by the commercial diving industry.

During the last 18 months TRAUMA Training has successfully pioneered the use of E-Learning on our DMT Course and our Life Support & Dive Supervisor courses.
We are now accepting proposals for collaboration on developing courses using our unique online e-learning platform.
Many divers have suggested expanding the range of courses we run. We are now accepting suggestions / collaborations with anyone who is interested in developing essential industry courses.

Hi Guys. The courses at TRAUMA Training are really filling up as we learn to live with the pandemic. We are currently looking for instructor staff on our DMT course to assist me. It would be best if the person is based in Spain (but not essential, flights are cheap). I am looking for a medic who understands (commercial) diving. An offshore medic, paramedic. DMTR Training in UK.
Trauma Training has rolled out our blended learning approach to run our DMTR course in the UK.
We now have dates for our central location (Rugby, UK @ MDC).
The course is 60% pre course e-learning & 40% attendance. This new format has proved really popular. The attendance course is two very full days which is practical & scenario based.

The IMCA Trainee Bell Diving Supervisor Course (TBDS) is now available at TRAUMA Training. It follows the pioneering new format of the TADS & ALST programs that are 100% online. Our unique approach is to make the entire course content available in a pre-recorded format on our e-learning platform. The week of the course comprises of Daily hour long zoom meetings with an experienced Bell Supervisor / OCM. You will receive daily homework which prepares you for the exam. The exam is hosted via the e-learning website & conducted on zoom on the Friday morning.

NEWS: The UK government is to allow fully vaccinated travellers to return to the UK with a quarantine exemption for the vaccinated. You will NOT need to quarantine if you are vaccinated on your return to the UK.
This has huge implications for guys wanting to travel to Spain for their DMT. Benalmadena has returned to a degree of normal. Beach life has returned (the centre is 5 mins from the beach). The restaurants & family hotels are open. The are is very COVID safe with wide open spaces and the Spanish are eager to welcome you.

Travel to Spain from the UK is now possible from the 17th of May.
Spain is now on the Amber list. The COVID19 rate are on a gentle decline in Spain and the vaccine program is picking up pace. Amber status does require pre-travel PCR testing & post travel home quarantine with testing in this period. Spain is expected to be on the Green list by June.

Benalmadena is starting to open up again, Easyjet, RyanAir etc.. have scheduled a normal flight schedule and really cheap.

We have heavily adapted our DMT programme, the Refresher is NOW just 2 days attendance, with a comprehensive e-learning package. The course is highly practical / scenario based. We have instigated social distancing, which means class size is a maximum of 12 students. Early booking is recommended.

UPDATE: All the travel and flight companies are planning on a busy flight schedule from May 14th 2021, We will continue to operate reduces class sizes (socially distanced), so early booking is suggested.
The DMT & DMTR now have e-learning elements, so the actually class time is more clinical skills / scenario based.
Spain is an early adopter of the 'Vaccine Passport'.. and is keen to have UK residents. Spain is planned to be on the UK's GREEN section of the Traffic Light scheme.

From the 30th of March travel to Spain is now possible as Spain relaxes travel restrictions.
The UK has instigated a proposed £5000 fine for people holidaying. When a student books a course with TRAUMA Training a travel exemption letter is issued. This clarifies that your trip is for the purpose of education, which is allowed within the UK´s new guidelines; Please see the UK gov website & travel form:

Travel to Spain will still require a COVID-19 PCR test within 72hrs of their travel to Spain: https://www.spth.gob.es
A hint of normality is returning to Benalmadena. The beach, bars & restaurants are open again (in the new normal). So your course can include possibly you only holiday of 2021.
We offer in-house COVID19 PCR testing for students onward travel. We can offer a 24hr result service or an express 4 hr result service.
We also offer a rapid (15mins) COVID-19 Antigen test in-house.
