✨ 25 Years Inspiring the Future ✨ Last week, The British School of Málaga celebrated its 25th Anniversary with a special charity event that brought together alumni, families, staff and distinguished guests to mark a quarter-century of educational excellence, community spirit and social responsibility. The evening provided an opportunity to reflect on our journey, celebrate our achievements and look ahead to the future, while reaffirming the values that define us: excellence, compassion and global citizenship. Funds raised during the event will support Bisturí Solidario and its work to improve access to healthcare for vulnerable communities. Thank you to everyone who has been part of our story over the past 25 years. Here's to many more years of inspiring the future together. 💙

✨ 25 años inspirando el futuro ✨ La semana pasada celebramos el 25º Aniversario de The British School of Málaga con una emotiva velada solidaria que reunió a antiguos alumnos, familias, personal del centro e invitados institucionales para conmemorar un cuarto de siglo de excelencia educativa, comunidad y compromiso social. Fue una noche para recordar nuestro recorrido, celebrar nuestros logros y mirar al futuro con ilusión, reafirmando los valores que nos definen: excelencia, solidaridad y ciudadanía global. Además, los fondos recaudados durante el evento se destinarán a Bisturí Solidario, contribuyendo a mejorar el acceso a la atención sanitaria de comunidades vulnerables. Gracias a todos los que habéis formado parte de estos 25 años de historia. ¡Por muchos años más inspirando el futuro juntos! 💙

🇬🇧 Ms Upton, our Future Pathways Coordinator, recently visited the Netherlands as part of the “Big 3” university tour, with visits to The Hague, Rotterdam and Amsterdam, as well as an additional visit to Leiden University. During the trip, she visited seven universities, including both research and applied sciences institutions, meeting admissions officers, touring campuses, and speaking with current students to gain a deeper understanding of higher education opportunities in the Netherlands. Ms Upton will be sharing her insights with students and parents at upcoming school events.

🇪🇸 Ms Upton, nuestra Coordinadora de Orientación Universitaria Internacional (Future Pathways Coordinator), visitó recientemente los Países Bajos como parte del recorrido universitario “Big 3”, que incluyó visitas a La Haya, Róterdam y Ámsterdam, además de una visita adicional a la Universidad de Leiden. Durante el viaje, visitó siete universidades, incluyendo tanto instituciones de investigación como de ciencias aplicadas. Allí se reunió con responsables de admisiones, recorrió los campus y conversó con estudiantes universitarios para conocer en mayor profundidad las oportunidades de educación superior que ofrece el sistema universitario neerlandés. Ms Upton compartirá sus conocimientos y conclusiones con alumnos y familias en los próximos eventos organizados por el colegio.

🥊 We are incredibly proud of our Year 10 student, Sam M.! This weekend, Sam was crowned Andalusian Junior Boxing Champion in the under-66 kg category — a fantastic achievement that reflects his hard work, discipline and dedication to this demanding sport. Balancing academic studies with competitive sport at such a high level requires commitment, perseverance and passion — qualities we greatly admire. Congratulations, Sam, on this well-deserved success! The entire British School of Málaga community is celebrating this special achievement with you. 👏🏆

✨ This year, we are celebrating a very special milestone: our school’s 25th Anniversary. Over the past 25 years, our community has been shaped by learning, friendships, unforgettable memories, and shared experiences that have left a lasting mark on generations of students, families, and staff. To commemorate this important occasion, on 12th June we will come together for a special evening at the BSM Café — an opportunity to reconnect, reflect on so many cherished moments, and continue building the story of our community together. We are also proud that the event will support a meaningful cause, as the funds raised will be donated to the Bisturí Solidario Foundation, founded by Dr César Ramírez, a valued member of our school community.

✨ Este año celebramos un momento muy especial: el 25º Aniversario de nuestro colegio. Han sido 25 años de aprendizajes, amistades, recuerdos y experiencias compartidas que han dejado huella en generaciones de alumnos, familias y profesores. Para conmemorar esta ocasión tan significativa, el próximo 12 de junio celebraremos una velada muy especial en el entorno del BSM Café, un espacio para reencontrarnos, recordar tantos momentos vividos y seguir construyendo juntos la historia de nuestra comunidad. Además, nos llena de orgullo que este encuentro tenga también un carácter solidario, ya que los fondos recaudados se destinarán a la Fundación Bisturí Solidario, fundada por el Dr César Ramírez, miembro de nuestra comunidad educativa.

♟️ As part of the ILOS programme, ISP Chessmasters continues to establish itself as one of the most enriching and engaging initiatives in Secondary, bringing together students of different ages and skill levels through their shared passion for chess. On 7th May, we celebrated the grand final of the group competitions, where our students demonstrated commitment, strategy, and excellent sportsmanship. Families also had the opportunity to share this special occasion and enjoy refreshments alongside the participants during the competition. 🏆 The official results will be announced on 28th May during an online gala!

Dentro del programa ILOS, el ♟️ ISP Chessmasters continúa consolidándose como una de las iniciativas más enriquecedoras y participativas de Secundaria, ya que reúne a alumnos de diferentes edades y niveles en torno a su pasión por el ajedrez. El pasado 7 de mayo celebramos la gran final de las competiciones por grupo, una jornada en la que nuestros alumnos demostraron compromiso, estrategia y una gran deportividad. Las familias también pudieron compartir este momento tan especial y disfrutar junto a los participantes de una merienda durante la competición. 🏆 ¡Los resultados oficiales se anunciarán el próximo 28 de mayo durante una gala online!

Our recent English Book Fair brought plenty of excitement to the Primary building, as students enjoyed browsing and purchasing a wide range of titles in English. It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm for reading and to watch our young readers discovering new stories and authors to enjoy at home. A fantastic celebration of books, language and imagination!

Nuestra reciente Feria del Libro en Inglés llenó de entusiasmo el edificio de Primaria, donde los alumnos pudieron descubrir y adquirir una gran variedad de títulos en inglés. Fue maravilloso ver tanto interés por la lectura y observar a nuestros jóvenes lectores descubriendo nuevas historias y autores para disfrutar también en casa. ¡Una fantástica celebración de los libros, el idioma y la imaginación!

Our Year 8 students have returned from a fantastic end-of-year trip to Río Secreto in the Sierra de Hornachuelos, Córdoba. Over three unforgettable days, they enjoyed an exciting programme of adventure and cultural activities, including Spain’s largest zip wire, climbing, kayaking, trekking, outdoor sports and a solar-powered boat ride, as well as a guided tour of Córdoba in English. It was an incredible experience full of learning, fun and teamwork, creating memories that will stay with them for years to come. A huge thank you to all the students and staff who made the trip such a success! 🌿🚣‍♂️🧗‍♀️✨

Nuestros Year 8 han regresado de un maravilloso viaje de fin de curso en Río Secreto, en la Sierra de Hornachuelos (Córdoba). Durante 3 días llenos de aventura y convivencia, disfrutaron de actividades inolvidables como la tirolina más grande de España, escalada, kayak, senderismo, deportes al aire libre y un paseo en barco solar, además de una visita guiada en inglés por Córdoba. Ha sido una experiencia increíble de aprendizaje, diversión y compañerismo que, sin duda, recordarán siempre. ¡Gracias a todos los alumnos y profesores que lo han hecho posible! 🌿🚣‍♂️🧗‍♀️✨
