New in person class!

Join me for a weekly yoga for mums class at Nesty Málaga.

My sessions are centred on you the mother, with carefully guided movements and stretches to ease tension in the back, shoulders, hips, and neck—areas that often feel strained during early motherhood. We also work on pelvic floor recovery, breathing practices & meditation for centering and relaxation.

My space is open for anyone - there’s no pressure to have a certain flexibility or any expectations at all. I invite you to come as you are and be with yourself.

Non mobile babies can be beside you in the class & for those mobile babies there will be a little monitored play area (Babies 0-18 months).

Following the class Nesty are hosting a mini-coworking with babies from 12.00 - 14.30. Work, chat through ideas or take a moment for yourself whilst your baby is cared for nearby.

Monthly class packages are available for yoga only or yoga + co-working.

Booking details including pricing can be found on the Heartbeat App with https://www.instagram.com/nestyfamilyclub?igsh=MTd2a3p0YXJmb2FjYg==

If you’d like to join our friendly group message ‘yoga’ for details.

In my classes, I’ll often invite you to reflect on a heartfelt intention for yourself.

Rather than something you want to achieve or get, a sankalpa is more about asking: what is the most honest and compassionate direction for your life? What matters to you? How do you want to be or feel?

This intention comes from the heart, not the ego.

It can be a simple word or phrase that is easy to remember and return to.

Something in present tense as if it is already happening, for example ‘I am at peace’ rather than ‘I will be at peace’

Yoga and meditation are beautiful ways to connect with your sankalpa, because they help you become more at ease, open, and present. By repeating this word or phrase from a place of truth, we begin to align body, mind, and action.

A brief moment to myself last week. My chosen R&R was doing some yoga next to the sea followed by a coffee/business planning.

My poor spine and body in general felt soo stiff!! It almost feels like a different body when I move now. I’ll be honest my aim was by this point to be sharing postnatal yoga advice with you alongside cute videos of me doing yoga with Rai, aka the ‘yoga mum’. It just hasn’t happened. The realities are I’m tired, my baby doesn’t sleep for long stretches and for the small snippets of practice I do get in, I have zero energy for filming & posting it!

In reality my practice these days looks more like -listening to a guided meditation in my ear buds whilst I feed, a yoga nidra nap whilst he sleeps on me or deep breathes and stretches over the high chair whilst dancing around like a crazed jestor. It’s messy, it’s not linear, it’s not on a mat in leggings. Day to day it’s the yoga of learning to live with acceptance for the way things are, that nothing is permanent including my identity and energy. For now I am so grateful to have had these hours of freedom! Thank you to and to myself for accepting help 😅

Responsiveness vs. Reactivity is an incredibly important distinction 🔥

Mr Ted. You were the best cat (cat/dog), friend & spirit in our lives. Rescued with wounds from the streets of Oxford to International traveller, even getting your own Spanish passport before us. Tenacious is definitely a word I would use. Sweetest & loving gentleman to all humans and even winning around previous cat haters with his charm. By night a ferocious fu**er upper of all cats within a 50m radius of his territory. You won some, you lost some and definitely had more than 9 lives 😅

Anyone who came to my online classes would have seen and heard the fluffy man whilst we practiced. I will miss him by my side, his presence a reminder that life only happens in this moment. Also to rest, be as lazy as you want and take lots of rest!

‘Life is nothing but a continuous dance of birth and death, a dance of change’ Tibetan book of living & dying. A very real reminder right now.

I’m happy that I got to dance with you for a short moment in this lifetime my boy. Will miss you every day. Peace out 💛

“How do I know the difference between mind chatter (ego) and the quiet voice within? What part of me do I trust?”

Ram Dass: People who are very enamored with their intellect don’t trust that inner space.

They don’t know how to tune to it. They just haven’t noticed its existence, because they were so busy thinking about everything.

There’s very little you can say to somebody who’s going through that because it isn’t real to them. It doesn’t exist. You can remind them of moments they’ve been out of their mind, because once you have acknowledged the existence of that other plane of reality, in which you know that wisdom exists, then immediately all the moments when you had it in life, that you treated as irrelevant or as error, or as, “I was out of my mind,” suddenly become real to you, and you start to trust that dimension more.

But what happens is the minute you’re in an anxious moment, you go into your mind and try to think your way out of it again. Then you just feel the harshness of it, while the intuitive wisdom has a kind of flow with things. It has a soft way of being in the universe, not a harshness. Even a firmness is soft. Yeah, it’s a tricky one to talk about...

Why is yoga useful in pregnancy?

🤸‍♀️Movement - mobilising and strengthening your body through modified poses designed to help you cope with ever changing shifts in your body & to prepare you for the birth and recovery

🌬️A breathing toolkit - mastering soothing and calming breathing techniques to assist with emotional fluctuations, ease anxiety, sleep & pain relief during the prenatal phase, birth and post-natal period.

💫Connection - time out from pre-baby prep, to do lists, work or other children, exclusively for you and your baby to bond

😌Deep relaxation - healing practices such as yoga nidra (a deep guided relaxation) to relieve exhaustion and re-engergise.

The combined takeaway of using these amazing tools is to get to know yourself, your baby and what is best for you. With this comes trust in your bodies wisdom. We have everything we need within 😊

Join me for my new online pregnancy yoga class starting tomorrow and every Monday at 7.30pm GMT/+1CET.

Get on a fresh pair of eyes 👀

This week in class we continue to explore the idea of beginner’s mind, seeing things from a clear, open and curious place.

It’s very easy to see yourself, experiences and people around you in a set, rigid way and with expectations of how things will go. This can keep us locked in patterns and feeling stuck. Learning to adapt to my new growing mum body/life I’m trying to drop stories & expectations about myself and embrace these new weird changes with a sense of wonder and intrigue! Is there anything going on for you in which you can approach with a beginner’s mind?

Join me to explore and move this week online 💻 (Tuesday evening) and in person at the beach☀️ (Saturday morning)
