You know the soundcheck where your voice comes back through the speakers sounding nothing like it does at home, and you have no idea what to even ask the engineer for?
That gap is almost never your voice. It’s the microphone, how you hold and move with it, and everything the desk does after it.
And it’s a craft, not luck, which means it can be learned.
That’s the session I was supposed to teach at .eu in Switzerland last week. I was ill and couldn’t travel, so it didn’t happen.
Rather than let it go, I’m running the whole thing online tomorrow evening, and recording it for the Eurovox platform.
It’s live for a reason. Set up your gear at home and you can try each thing as we go (optional), and there’s plenty of room for your questions.
💬 Tomorrow Friday August 28 at 6PM CET. If you’d like a seat, comment below and I’ll send you the link. My treat 🎶
