In Year 8 Sociales class students are learning about planet Earth. This week they saw what life was like on the International Space Station. They learned what the astronauts eat, how they sleep, the importance of exercise, and the vital work they do there. Amazing!

Last week our Year 12 students took a well-deserved break during their PE class to enjoy a scenic walk around the school surroundings. Stepping outside the classroom and moving in nature gives our students a fresh perspective, helping them clear their minds, reduce stress, and strengthen their bonds with one another before diving back into their studies.

We love seeing our Y12s making the most of our beautiful environment while taking care of their mind and body! 🌲👟

Durante estas primeras semanas de curso, en Year 11 hemos leído en clase La casa de Bernarda Alba y, para mi sorpresa, ¡les ha encantado! Se han enganchado tanto a la historia y a sus personajes que, al terminar la obra, decidieron representar algunas de sus escenas favoritas. Fue una sesión maravillosa, llena de risas y creatividad, en la que todos se metieron en la piel de sus personajes y disfrutaron muchísimo.

Rabbits have been busy harvesting vegetables. They identified the correct leaves and compared the sizes and shapes of the carrots as they pulled them from the soil. Miss Margarita was very impressed with her gift in the kitchen.

Surfing, kayaking, MasterChef, arts and crafts, Zumba, karaoke, Got Talent, bouncy castles, foam parties, field trips… and so many unforgettable memories.

Week 3 has been full of adventure, creativity and unforgettable memories at Oakley College Summer School.

Our students enjoyed a fantastic Foam Party, stepped back in time at Sioux City Western Venture, had endless fun on the bouncy castles, put their culinary skills to the test in MasterChef Junior and caught some waves during their surfing sessions.
