✅ We have developed vocational training to support autistic people through education and familiarization of professionals on alternative systems of communication.

✅ The course curriculum includes state of the art learning practices and uses a modern approach to the systematic observation and assessment of children on the autism spectrum. Split into 12 different lessons, it contains e-learning materials and online technologies that bring remote practices closer together through face-to-face training.

✅ The platform has been designed to support teachers in the field of autism who are newly appointed or unemployed; experienced teachers; teachers who are supporting children with autism or other communication difficulties in mainstream schools; as well as other professionals, such as speech therapists, psychologists, ergotherapists or social workers.

✅ Before beign launched, the platform has been tested by around thirty specialists thorough different pilot training and 'training the trainers' sessions between 2019 and 2020 in Greece, Romania and Belgium.

professionals, researchers, students, teachers and parents of children from Belgium, different EU countries or even the USA or China, share their impressions about the training and highlight the common needs and challenges and the importance of develop such a training due to the lack of resources and contents about how foster for children on the spectrum.

partners Lucie Milcent, project coordinator at Asociación Mi Hijo y Yo, Canarias TGD (Spain), Petra Ristić, teacher at Mateřská škola (Czech Republic), and Manja Veldin, researcher at the Pedagoški inštitut/Educational Research Institute (Slovenia) described how our online training has been piloting and implementing in their areas, and showed some success stories resulting of our two-year project to foster of children on the spectrum in the EU.

The international event starts with an introduction of the EU and international legal framework of inclusive education in Europe by Autism-Europe, and continues with a general overview and presentation of the online training and how to access and manage the moodle platform by za avtizem:

On December 3,12 partners from 4 different countries attended the 4th transnational meeting to exchange the latest updates of the project and prepare the last outputs before come to an end.

The day after, teachers, parents, professionals, academics and other stakeholders will gather in Brussels to hear the voices of preschool teachers from Slovenia, Spain and Czech Republic, and to learn more about the work and expertise of partners in those countries.

Today Autism-Europe is holding in our offices in the last meeting of the project.
The results and online training of our Erasmus+ project will be presented tomorrow in an international event! Stay tuned!
