🕰️✨ Mindfulness Activity #6: Tic, Tac ✨🕰️
In this Mindfulness activity, children explore balance and movement through the rhythm of a clock. By swaying like a pendulum and chanting "tic, tac", they learn to connect with their bodies and practise controlled, mindful movements.
⏰ What sound does a clock make?
🧘 How does your body feel as it gently sways side to side?
🔹 How does it work?
1️⃣ Sit or stand with a relaxed posture and begin to sway slowly from side to side like a clock’s pendulum.
2️⃣ As you move, say "tic, tac" in rhythm with your body.
3️⃣ Notice how your weight shifts and how your body finds balance.
4️⃣ End the activity by saying together: "Tic, tac, like a clock finding its centre. STOP," and return to stillness, taking a few calm breaths.
This mindful movement exercise helps develop body awareness, focus, and conscious breathing, making it a wonderful way to slow down and reconnect through play.
Would you like to sway like a clock today? 🕰️✨

🎨 Exploring Pop Art through digital platforms
At Sage College, we believe that education should be both inspiring and practical.
In their recent Art lessons with Ms Robert, our Year 8 students explored Pop Art - originally used to advertise food - and took it a step further. Using digital platforms, they developed graphic design skills that will be valuable for their university studies and future careers.
This project is a perfect example of how we integrate creativity with real-world applications, preparing our students for tomorrow. 🌟

🧘♂️✨ Mindfulness Activity #5: Zipping Up! ✨🧘♀️
As part of our mindfulness series at Sage College, our youngest pupils practised "zipping up" - a gentle and imaginative exercise to help them sit tall, stay focused, and feel grounded.
🧍♀️ What if we had a zipper running up our body?
🧘 How does it feel to sit up straight, breathe deeply, and relax your muscles?
🔹 How does it work?
1️⃣ Children imagine a zip going from their belly button up to their chin.
2️⃣ Without touching their bodies, they mime zipping up slowly, helping their posture become tall and aligned.
3️⃣ They then take a few deep breaths with a relaxed yet upright posture.
This simple yet powerful activity promotes body awareness, focus, and calm, all through playful imagination. Once familiar with the movement, a single hand gesture is enough to prompt them to ‘zip up’ and refocus at any moment during the day.
Shall we zip up and breathe in calm together? 🧘♂️🟣

🌟 Helping Your Child Revise for Exams: 5 Practical Tips 📚✏️
Supporting your child during exam season can be challenging, but with the right approach, it can also be rewarding! Here are five effective strategies to help them succeed:
✅ Create a Structured Revision Plan – Help them break subjects into manageable chunks and focus on key areas. A clear study schedule reduces stress and avoids last-minute cramming.
📝 Use Active Learning Techniques – Encourage flashcards, note summaries, teaching others, or practice questions. Engaging actively with the material improves retention.
📖 Set Up a Comfortable Study Environment – A quiet, organized space free from distractions can boost focus and productivity.
⏳ Incorporate Regular Breaks – Short breaks enhance concentration! Try the Pomodoro technique: 25 minutes of study, followed by a 5-minute break.
💡 Stay Positive and Supportive – Motivation is key! Celebrate small wins, offer encouragement, and promote a healthy balance between study and relaxation.
By following these tips, you can make the revision process smoother and more effective for your child. 🌟
