We all need someone to lean on. Especially in a country that is not yet "home." Teachers are around a lot of people all day yet it can be a very lonely profession. It is so highly specialised and often stressful in ways that quite frankly you are often too tired to explain about. Here is a place where the people already know ....it does need to be explained. Tutors are teachers that fall outside t

he usual boundaries teachers who live and work in their home country have. Often they are young and away from their usual support networks. But tutors are teachers too. Some teachers dream of leaving the daily grind and going part-time. For some it gives them the freedom they need to pursue other interests. But as odd as it sounds, it is easy to miss the madness that is school life. So I find myself with the time I have always wanted, to have time to share with and signpost others, here in Spain and wherever people need a supportive community. This is a happy experiment and I look forward to sharing it with friends and colleagues! Nise x

Calling all tutors ..... the school year is starting and all of the teachers around the world ( well mostly) are busy preparing classrooms and revving up for the 2016/7 cohort! ......... share your stories. I am working in a new school and am about to meet the Parents tomorrow morning !
