💙⚽ DREAMS & WISHES TENERIFE ⚽💙
Our latest Dreams & Wishes Tenerife was planned for a very special 15-year-old boy who is currently battling cancer and undergoing weekly treatments, following trials of new medicines and procedures in Madrid, sadly without success.
His dream was simple but very special, to attend a CD Tenerife trophy football match in Santa Cruz. ⚽🏆
Arrangements were made for tickets for him to attend the game, but we also had a very special surprise planned. At the end of the match, the Captain was going to take him backstage to meet the full team and present him with a signed shirt and scarf. 💙
Unfortunately, the evening before the match, he was rushed into hospital for emergency surgery and, heartbreakingly, was unable to attend the game. 😢
But we weren't going to let him down.
We collected the signed shirt and scarf from CD Tenerife and went to visit him at home while he was recovering, where we were able to present them to him personally. 🎁💙
We cannot thank CD Tenerife enough for their incredible support throughout this. They have been absolutely amazing, helping us arrange the meetings and everything needed to make this dream possible.
And the story doesn't end here…
Once he is feeling better and has recovered, we will rearrange the tickets for another match and make sure we fulfil his original wish of watching CD Tenerife play and, hopefully, meeting the team. ⚽💙
We’ll keep you all updated when the whole project is finally completed.
But for now, from everyone at Carretera de la vida and Amigos de gillian Banks, we want to wish this brave young man a speedy recovery, better health and brighter days ahead. ❤️🙏
