The final transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ project FEMPOWER took place in Palanga, Lithuania, on 10–11 July. During these two productive days, the project partners reviewed the achievements of the project, finalised the "A Guide to Embodied Female Empowerment" manual, coordinated the final dissemination activities, and prepared the last steps before the successful completion of the project.

This meeting marked the end of an inspiring journey of collaboration, creativity and shared commitment to empowering women through education and the exchange of good practices across Europe.

The FEMPOWER Manual will soon be available for free on our websites. Stay tuned for more information!

As part of our Erasmus+ project FEMPOWER – Find Your Roots and Spread Your Wings "​2024-1-DE02-KA220-ADU-000252954", we took to the streets to distribute postcards promoting body positivity, self-acceptance and women’s empowerment.

Each postcard features illustrations created by the talented artist , designed to inspire confidence and remind women that every body deserves respect and appreciation.

Beyond these postcards, the FEMPOWER project has developed a practical manual for trainers, coaches and educators, providing embodied and inclusive methods to support women’s empowerment.

¡Ya está aquí el nuevo número de La Voz del Mako, la revista del Centro Penitenciario de Albolote en Granada, confeccionada por los internos!

Desde AIFED y AVOPRI hemos tenido la satisfacción de colaborar en la edición de esta publicación y hacer posible su versión impresa con 50 ejemplares, gracias al apoyo del proyecto Europe Challenge de la European Cultural Foundation.

En sus 72 páginas a todo color podemos encontrar entrevistas, artículos de actualidad jurídica y social, recomendaciones de lectura, poesía, relatos, arte, actividades socioculturales y muchas voces que demuestran el poder de la palabra como herramienta de participación, aprendizaje e inclusión.

Nuestra más sincera enhorabuena a todas las personas que han hecho posible este nuevo número de La Voz del Mako.

The new issue of La Voz del Mako, the magazine of the Albolote Penitentiary Center in Granada, created by the inmates, is here!

AIFED and AVOPRI were pleased to collaborate on the publication and make its print run possible with 50 copies, thanks to the support of the European Cultural Foundation's Europe Challenge project.

In its 72 full-color pages, you'll find interviews, articles on current legal and social issues, reading recommendations, poetry, short stories, art, sociocultural activities, and many voices that demonstrate the power of words as a tool for participation, learning, and inclusion. Our sincerest congratulations to everyone who made this new issue of La Voz del Mako possible.

Some weeks ago, we had the pleasure of hosting the European partners of the Erasmus+ project 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐂𝐨𝐧 - 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐤 𝐌𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 ✨

The project, coordinated by Helping Youth e.V. (Hamburg, Germany), wants to promote the exchange of good practices between organizations working with young people and for community well-being, with the aim of preventing youth crime through systemic and participatory approaches.

SCENES OF CHANGE

We spent an inspiring few days at the Final Summit of The Europe Challenge 2025/2026, organised by the European Cultural Foundation and hosted at the beautiful Amsterdam Public Library!

The event brought together more than 60 libraries from over 20 countries, creating an unique space for exchange, and collaboration.

During the Marketplace section of the Summit we had the opportunity to present the work done at the Scenes for Change project, carried out by AIFED and the Prison Volunteering Association (AVOPRI) entirely in the prison libraries of the Centre of Social Insertion Matilde Cantos Fernández and the Albolote Prison in Granada (Spain). We invited visitors to our Marketplace table to imagine what it feels like to enter a library without any personal belongings, as happens in prison. This simple reflection sparked meaningful discussions about access, dignity and the transformative power of libraries.

A big thank you to the European Cultural Foundation, Amsterdam Public Library and everyone who stopped by to learn more about Scenes of Change and our work. We leave Amsterdam full of new ideas, connections and motivation!
