🇬🇧✨ Last week we went on an excursion to deeply explore the wonderful Albaicín neighbourhood in Granada, walking through its historic streets, viewpoints, and charming corners.

We also visited the beautiful Carmen de la Victoria, a famous Carmen belonging to the University of Granada, well known for its incredible views of the Alhambra 🌿🏰

A unique cultural experience to continue learning Spanish while discovering the history and beauty of Granada! ❤️

Hoy hemos ido a visitar los alrededores de la Alhambra y ha sido una experiencia súper interesante y bonita. ✨
Aunque al principio nos ha llovido un poco, después ha salido el sol y la verdad es que hemos agradecido que, al subir la cuesta, no hiciera muchísimo calor. ☀️🌿
Un paseo lleno de rincones increíbles, vistas preciosas y mucho encanto. ❤️
Es la segunda vez que hacemos está excursión y esperamos poder hacerla muchas más veces🙌🏼

Today we went to explore the surroundings of the Alhambra, and it was such an interesting and beautiful experience. ✨
Although it rained a little at first, the sun came out afterwards, and honestly we were grateful that, while walking uphill, it wasn’t too hot. ☀️🌿
A walk full of amazing hidden spots, beautiful views, and so much charm. ❤️
It’s the second time we’ve done this excursion, and we hope we’ll be able to do it many more times. 🙌🏼

Tuvimos la suerte de ser invitados al concierto de Cal Poly Arab Music Ensemble, formado por jóvenes músicos y bailarines de la Universidad Politécnica de California pero procedentes de todo Estados Unidos que interpretaron arte y música popular de una amplia variedad de sociedades de habla árabe.

Durante el concierto disfrutamos de actuaciones llenas de danza, canto y música tradicional, y además cada pieza fue presentada con explicaciones tanto en inglés como en español, lo que permitió a nuestro alumnado y profesorado comprender mejor el contexto cultural de cada interpretación.

¡El ambiente fue increíble! Nuestros estudiantes no solo escucharon la música, sino que también cantaron y bailaron con los artistas, creando un momento muy especial y lleno de alegría.

Después del concierto nos hicimos algunas fotos en el auditorio, pero la sorpresa llegó al salir: los músicos y las bailarinas estaban fuera tocando y bailando con el público. Pudimos aprender algunos pasos de baile y compartir un momento espontáneo y mágico con ellos.

Sin duda, una experiencia multicultural maravillosa que nuestra plantilla y alumnado recordará durante mucho tiempo. 💛

We were lucky to be invited to the concert of the Cal Poly Arab Music Ensemble, made up of young musicians and dancers from the California Polytechnic State University and from across the United States, who performed art and popular music from a wide range of Arabic-speaking societies.

During the concert we enjoyed performances full of dance, singing, and traditional music. Each piece was also introduced with explanations in both English and Spanish, which allowed our students and teachers to better understand the cultural context behind each performance.

The atmosphere was incredible! Our students didn’t just listen to the music — they also sang and danced with the artists, creating a very special and joyful moment.

Our staff and students will remember this experiencie for a long time💛😍

Otra de nuestras excursiones nos llevó al precioso Cármenes de los Mártires 🌿✨

Los alumnos subieron por el emblemático Paseo de Carlos V, disfrutando de las vistas y del entorno natural antes de llegar a los jardines. Una vez allí, realizaron una actividad muy divertida: una búsqueda en la que tenían que encontrar diferentes plantas y animales del lugar. 🌸🐦

Fue una forma dinámica y participativa de conectar con la naturaleza, trabajar en equipo y practicar el idioma mientras descubrían uno de los espacios verdes más bonitos de Granada.

Another one of our trips took us to the beautiful Cármenes de los Mártires 🌿✨

Our students walked up along the iconic Paseo de Carlos V, enjoying the views and the natural surroundings before reaching the gardens. Once there, they took part in a fun activity: a scavenger hunt where they had to find different plants and animals in the area. 🌸🐦

It was a dynamic and engaging way to connect with nature, encourage teamwork, and practice the language while discovering one of Granada’s most beautiful green spaces.

Learning can also be an outdoor adventure 💛

Lo que nos gusta un buen disfraz en esta academia 🎭✨

Cada vez que tenemos la oportunidad, transformamos nuestras clases para celebrar fechas especiales. Ya hemos vivido momentos increíbles en Halloween 🎃, Navidad 🎄 y San Valentín 💕… ¡y los que nos quedan!

Nos encanta decorar, caracterizarnos y crear un ambiente diferente que rompa la rutina. Aprovechamos cada celebración para hablar sobre tradiciones de distintos países, comparar costumbres y compartir experiencias culturales entre todos.

Porque aprender un idioma también es entender sus fiestas, su historia y su forma de celebrar la vida. Y si además lo hacemos entre risas, disfraces y mucha creatividad… ¡mejor todavía! 💛

We absolutely love a good costume at our academy 🎭✨

Whenever we get the chance, we transform our classrooms to celebrate special occasions. We’ve already enjoyed amazing moments during Halloween 🎃, Christmas 🎄 and Valentine’s Day 💕… and there’s more to come!

We love decorating, dressing up, and creating a different atmosphere that breaks the routine. Each celebration becomes an opportunity to talk about traditions from around the world, compare customs, and share cultural experiences together.

Because learning a language also means understanding its celebrations, its history, and the way people enjoy life. And if we can do it with laughter, costumes, and creativity… even better! 💛

Una de las excursiones más especiales que hemos hecho fue al Parque Federico García Lorca 🌳✨

Organizamos un intercambio culinario en el que tanto alumnos como profesoras llevamos comida típica de nuestros países. Fue una experiencia preciosa compartir sabores, tradiciones y pequeñas historias detrás de cada plato. 🌍🍲

Además, no faltaron los juegos típicos españoles: jugamos a juegos de mesa y también a juegos físicos al aire libre, entre risas, trabajo en equipo y muchísimo buen ambiente.

Sin duda, fue un día increíble, de esas excursiones que se recuerdan siempre. Momentos que fortalecen el grupo, crean conexiones reales y convierten la experiencia en algo mucho más grande que una simple clase. 💛

One of the most special trips we’ve done was to Parque Federico García Lorca 🌳✨

We organized a culinary exchange where both students and teachers brought typical food from their home countries. It was such a beautiful experience sharing flavors, traditions, and the stories behind each dish. 🌍🍲

We also played traditional Spanish games — both board games and outdoor physical activities — filled with laughter, teamwork, and great energy.

Without a doubt, it was an incredible day and one of the best excursions we’ve ever had. These are the moments that bring everyone closer together and turn learning into something truly unforgettable. 💛

Este día recorrimos algunos de los rincones con más historia del centro de Granada ✨

Comenzamos en la Plaza de las Pasiegas, a los pies de la Catedral, un lugar lleno de vida donde siempre hay ambiente y arte en cada esquina. Después visitamos el Palacio de la Madraza, antigua universidad nazarí, donde pudimos sentir el legado cultural y académico que forma parte de la esencia de la ciudad.

Continuamos perdiéndonos por el Laberinto de la Alcaicería, con sus callejuelas estrechas que recuerdan al antiguo bazar árabe, y terminamos en el Zoco de la Seda, rodeados de colores, artesanía y tradición.

Una excursión perfecta para descubrir la mezcla de culturas que hace única a Granada, mientras nuestros alumnos practican el idioma en un entorno real y cercano. Porque cada paseo por la ciudad es también una oportunidad para aprender, convivir y crear recuerdos juntos 💛

This day we explored some of the most historic corners of Granada’s city center ✨

We started at Plaza de las Pasiegas, right next to the Cathedral, a lively square full of atmosphere and street life. Then we visited the Palacio de la Madraza, the former Nasrid university, where we could truly feel the city’s rich academic and cultural heritage.

We continued wandering through the Laberinto de la Alcaicería, with its narrow streets reminiscent of the old Arab bazaar, and finished at the Zoco de la Seda, surrounded by colors, crafts, and tradition.

It was the perfect trip to experience the cultural blend that makes Granada so special, while our students practiced the language in a real and vibrant setting. Every walk through the city becomes a chance to learn, connect, and grow together 💛

Hay alumnos que marcan la diferencia… y profesoras que también 💛🌹

Al terminar su curso, una de nuestras alumnas quiso sorprender a sus profesoras con un detalle precioso: un ramo de rosas para cada una. Un gesto sencillo, pero lleno de cariño y agradecimiento, que nos recordó por qué amamos tanto lo que hacemos.

En nuestra academia no solo enseñamos un idioma; acompañamos procesos, celebramos avances y compartimos retos. Nuestro equipo docente trabaja cada día con dedicación, cercanía y pasión, creando un ambiente donde los alumnos se sienten escuchados, apoyados y motivados para dar lo mejor de sí mismos.

At the end of her course, one of our students surprised her teachers with a beautiful gesture: a bouquet of roses for each of them. A simple yet meaningful gift that truly touched our hearts and reminded us why we love what we do.
