Ha sigut una setmana meravellosa i inolvidable: plena d'alegria, rialles, amistats, aprenentatge i sobre tot.. molta diversió 🥳

Moltíssimes gràcies a tots vosaltres per el constant suport i confiança que dispositeu en mi i en la meva petita escola, i per permetre que el meu somni creixi i es continui fent realitat 🥰❤

Spring is here! 🌼☀️🌈 and Easter is around the corner! 🤗🐣🐰 so we've been busy creating our very own pinch pots in the shape of Easter eggs and Easter bunnies! 🥚🐰

The children carrot wait to paint them and take them home!! 🥕😁

I gave the children a taste of a fun, exciting and seriously yummy anual tradition from the UK, Shrove Tuesday, also known as... Pancake Day!!!!! 😋😍👨‍🍳👩‍🍳🥞

They had sooooo much fun turning their pancakes into creative food art while they
- naturally consolidated vocabulary related to fruit and body parts
- expressed what they like/don't like/have never tried
- practised asking questions for everything they wanted: Can I have two blueberries for the eyes? Can I have a strawberry for the wings? Can you cut it for me? Can you help me?

Special Activity: Owl Pancake Food Art 🥞🦉👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

We ended our Winter topic with an amazing ice experiment!! 😍🥶👨‍🔬👩‍🔬

We explored what happens when we add salt to a block of ice! We added colours to the ice so that we could see clearly how the salt interacted with the ice. We watched as the salt ate away at the ice, producing beautiful, colourful tunnels and bubbles inside the ice!

Vocabulary such as cold, frozen, ice, wet, colourful, rainbow, bubbles, pretty, bumpy, smooth and hard are among those that the children naturally became familiar with as they explored and experimented with the ice, salt and paint 🥰

After exploring all the different arctic animals and their habitats for our 'Winter' topic, the children decided to get creative and paint some snowy owls! Instead of paintbrushes, we used forks to create a feathery effect!

A perfect baking activity for our winter topic, and a super exciting and engaging way to learn and get immersed in English!! 😍🤩

We had a lot of fun playing with the snow we made, but the most exciting part came at the end. With it, my little scientists and I made a snow volcano eruption experiment!!!! 👨‍🔬👩‍🔬❄🌋

We added vinegar, washing-up liquid abd food colouring to our snow volcanoes and watched them erupt!! 🤩🌋

And of course, we had to get our hands very messy in the process!! 😍

We made our very own fake snow that looks and feels just like real snow!!!

It's surprisingly easy to make with just two simple ingredients!

- Baking Soda
- Shaving Foam OR Hair Conditioner

The best part was, the children were learning and using so many new words and structures in the most natural, spontaneous way, because they were having so much fun and felt SO engaged in the process 🥰
