Science in English Gijon

Model of a Cell Workshop. Thank you to Carmen and the students at Santa Olaya C.P for taking part in our workshop. The students had been studying plant and animal cells - the various parts of the cells and their functions. Their task was to build a model of either a plant cell or an animal cell. They used lots of different materials, including clay, beads, pipe cleaners, jelly and sweets. The students created fantastic models and presented them to their classmates at the end of the workshop. It was an absolute pleasure to work with such wonderful students! Well done on your great teamwork and creative models! Hope to see you all again soon. 😉

Buzzing to be joining Befriends Avilés Friday 19th and Befriends Castrillón Friday 26th for SLIME TIME!!!!

Este curso incorporamos una nueva abejita atareada a la familia, se trata de "Bee a Scientist" quien ,de la mano de la profesora irlandesa Cathy Lynch-profesora titulada de primaria especializada en Science- aportará a un grupo de alumnos de entre 6 y 12 años un nuevo espacio dentro de Befriends que hemos denominado "The Science Club" en el que se trabajarán diferentes experimentos científicos seguros para nuestr@s alumn@s y que empezamos ofreciendo en Befriends Avilés el próximo viernes 19 de 6 a 7 y en Befriends Castrillón el viernes 26.
En estos talleres,dado el carácter excepcional de los materiales a usar, el precio para asistir a alumn@s activ@s será de 3€ y para externos ,de 7€ siendo el número total de participantes limitado a 12 por turno.
Es necesario traer ropa "que se pueda ensuciar"y apuntar que la profesora NO HABLA ESPAÑOL con lo que el Taller ,no es bilingüe,sino de IMMERSIÓN TOTAL en inglés.
