🌟 Meet Tarquin, one of the wonderful teachers who brings creativity, kindness, and a little bit of adventure to Peekaboo School of English! 🌟

Originally from South Africa, Tarquin’s journey has taken her all over the world — from Qatar and London to Dubai and Newcastle — before finally landing in beautiful Asturias, where she’s been living for the last 9 years. 🌍💙

When she’s not teaching, Tarquin’s world is a mix of creativity and calm. You might find her ✂️ sewing and making crafts, 📖 writing her book, or simply enjoying nature… preferably while cuddling animals. (Or even better: cuddling animals in nature 🐾🌿).

✨ Some of the things that make Tarquin happiest in life?
🍜 Eating delicious food until she’s ready to pop
😂 Listening to her daughter laugh
💆 Professional massages
✈️ Travelling the world
And, of course… enjoying Guille’s famously corny jokes 😄

Choosing a favorite song or band? Impossible. According to Tarquin, there’s simply too much incredible music out there to pick just one. 🎶

And now for some fun facts…
🎪 At 7 years old, she dreamed of becoming a circus acrobat and have a meerkat as a pet.
🪂 She has gone skydiving twice — including over The Palm in Dubai
🦈 And she’s even gone shark cage diving with great whites in South Africa (which, surprisingly, felt less scary than watching from the boat!)

🍛 Her favorite food in the world? Thai food, without question.

What Tarquin loves most about teaching English is creating a classroom where students feel comfortable enough to truly be themselves. 💫

🌟 Meet Stacey, one of the wonderful teachers lighting up Peekaboo every day! 🌟Her kindness, energy, and sense of humor make every class feel welcoming, fun, and full of positive vibes.

Originally from the United States, Stacey has now been calling Gijón home for the past 11 years — and we’re very glad she does! 💙

When she’s not teaching, Stacey loves 🎹 playing the piano, 📚 getting lost in a good book, and 🍳 cooking up something delicious in the kitchen. She’s also passionate about ✈️ traveling, spending time with friends and family, and trying new foods from around the world. 🎶 Her favourite song? Anything by Bruno Mars — because who can resist singing along? 🎤✨

But there's more to Stacey than meets the eye...

🐴 She rides horses.
🐱 She brought her cat Sookie all the way from Texas
⚽ She used to play competitive soccer… and can even do a flip throw!

When asked why she became an English teacher, her answer was simple: "I like to help people." And that's exactly what she does every day.

What Stacey loves most about teaching isn't just the language itself—it's the people. Getting to know her students, sharing laughs, and watching their confidence grow is what makes every day rewarding. ✨
