C3IS Director Álvaro Escribano reaffirmed the rectoral team's commitment to internationalization and reviewed the program's progress and next steps with the coordinators. During the meeting, key organizational topics were addressed, including feedback on the enrollment process at the beginning of the semester, information on the new Bachelor's programs for the next academic year, and other key aspects to continue improving the quality of the Study Abroad Program.

The atmosphere was once again relaxed and collaborative, fostering a fluid exchange of ideas. In this sense, at C3IS we place great value on the proposals and suggestions of the SAP Site Directors and Program Coordinators, who represent some of the world's top universities and whose work contributes critically to the program's success.

This meeting reaffirms C3IS's commitment to academic excellence and internationalization, consolidating its role in international residency programs and ensuring an enriching experience for students at UC3M.

📢 Exciting visit at C3IS! 🌍✨

The Carlos III International School (C3IS) at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid welcomed a delegation from the Vassar-Wesleyan Program in Madrid 🇪🇸. The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration and exploring new opportunities for academic exchange between our institutions.

The meeting was coordinated by Professor Eva Woods, Director of the Vassar-Wesleyan Program in Madrid and Professor of Hispanic Studies at Vassar College, together with Pepa Eizaguirre, on-site Coordinator of the program. We at C3IS would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their excellent work.

The delegation included Daniela Gandolfo, the new program director for the 2025-2026 academic year and Associate Professor of Anthropology at Vassar College; Isabel Hansen, Associate Director of International Programs at Vassar; and Gabriela Berzinskas, Study Abroad Advisor at Wesleyan.

Álvaro Escribano, director of C3IS, and Dolores Morell, director of the C3IS Student Office, welcomed the Vassar-Wesleyan representatives to a space for dialogue that has highlighted the success of the program.

Also participating in the visit was Anita Deeg-Carlin, director of Intercultural Learning at Wesleyan, who was interested in learning about UC3M's initiatives in diversity, equity and inclusion. This will be a key topic in future meetings, where both institutions will continue to share experiences and explore new opportunities for cooperation.

L'École internationale Carlos III (C3IS) de l'Université Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) a participé à la première édition du salon des universités européennes Beyond Education 2025, un événement éducatif qui s'est tenu à Porto Rico du 5 au 7 mars 2025.

Organisée par le cabinet de conseil en éducation Beyond Education avec la précieuse collaboration et l'impulsion du Colegio Mater Salvatoris de Porto Rico, qui a accueilli l'événement réunissant des conseillers d'orientation, des étudiants et des familles de plus de 15 écoles de San Juan, dans le but de présenter les possibilités d'études dans les universités européennes.

Au cours de cet événement, le C3IS de l'UC3M a eu l'occasion de présenter son offre académique et ses programmes internationaux aux futurs étudiants intéressés par des études en Espagne. Le salon comprenait des sessions de réseautage, des réunions avec des conseillers pédagogiques et un espace d'exposition où les universités participantes pouvaient interagir directement avec les participants.

La réception de bienvenue, qui s'est tenue le 5 mars au Consulat d'Espagne à Porto Rico, a permis aux universités internationales d'entrer en contact avec des représentants d'institutions locales, renforçant ainsi la coopération universitaire entre l'Europe et l'Amérique latine.

La participation à ce salon renforce l'engagement de l'UC3M en faveur de l'internationalisation et de l'attraction de talents internationaux, en offrant aux étudiants portoricains la possibilité de découvrir de près les avantages d'une formation dans une université prestigieuse en Europe.

See you in Puerto Rico! C3IS participates in the Beyond Education 2025 European Universities Fair

The Carlos III International School (C3IS) of the Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M) has participated in the first edition of the Beyond Education 2025 European Universities Fair, an educational event held in Puerto Rico from March 5 to 7, 2025.

Organized by the educational consultancy Beyond Education with the invaluable collaboration and support of the Mater Salvatoris School in Puerto Rico, which hosted the event that brought together academic advisors, students and families from more than 15 schools in San Juan, with the aim of presenting study opportunities at European universities.

During the event, the C3IS of the UC3M had the opportunity to present its academic offer and its international programs to future students interested in studying in Spain. The fair included networking sessions, meetings with educational advisors and an exhibition space where participating universities could interact directly with attendees.

The welcome reception, held on March 5 at the Spanish Consulate in Puerto Rico, allowed international universities to connect with representatives of local institutions, strengthening academic cooperation between Europe and Latin America.

Participation in this fair reinforces UC3M's commitment to internationalization and attracting global talent, giving Puerto Rican students the opportunity to learn about the advantages of an education at a prestigious university in Europe.

La Escuela Internacional Carlos III (C3IS) de la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) ha participado en la primera edición de la Feria de Universidades Europeas Beyond Education 2025, un evento educativo celebrado en Puerto Rico del 5 al 7 de marzo de 2025.

Organizada por la consultora educativa Beyond Education con la inestimable colaboración e impulso del Colegio Mater Salvatoris de Puerto Rico, que acogió el evento que reunió a orientadores académicos, estudiantes y familias de más de 15 colegios de San Juan, con el objetivo de presentar las oportunidades de estudio en universidades europeas.

Durante el evento, la C3IS de la UC3M tuvo la oportunidad de dar a conocer su oferta académica y sus programas internacionales a futuros estudiantes interesados en cursar sus estudios en España. La feria incluyó sesiones de networking, reuniones con asesores educativos y un espacio expositivo donde las universidades participantes pudieron interactuar directamente con los asistentes.

La recepción de bienvenida, celebrada el 5 de marzo en la Casa Consular de España en Puerto Rico, permitió a las universidades internacionales conectar con representantes de instituciones locales, fortaleciendo la cooperación académica entre Europa y América Latina.

La participación en esta feria refuerza el compromiso de la UC3M con la internacionalización y la atracción de talento global, brindando a los estudiantes puertorriqueños la oportunidad de conocer de cerca las ventajas de una educación en una universidad de prestigio en Europa.

Organized by the Delegation of the European Union, this fair brought together universities from Spain, France, Belgium, Germany, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Ireland and the Netherlands, with the aim of promoting higher education in Europe among Nigerian students.

UC3M, represented by Guillermo Díaz de la Cruz and Pablo García Honrubia, from the C3IS Recruitment Department, shared information with attendees about its undergraduate and postgraduate programs, arousing particular interest in degrees such as Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Economics and Law, as well as master's degrees in the field of engineering.

The event, which took place at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos, was well attended by Nigerian students interested in study opportunities in Europe. The fair took place between 09:00 and 17:00, with a constant flow of enquiries about academic programs, admission requirements and financing options.

Participation in this fair is part of UC3M's internationalization strategy, consolidating its presence in Africa and strengthening the recruitment of talent in a country with great growth potential.

Among the participating institutions were universities of great prestige such as , , , , and , among others.

During the day, the visitors toured the Getafe and Leganés campuses, where they learned first-hand about the academic offerings of , its international programs and the resources available to foreign students. Special attention was paid to key aspects such as support for international students, admission requirements and the possibility of collaboration in joint educational programs.

The event was attended by Álvaro Escribano, director of the C3IS, and Elisa María Ruiz Navas, director of Engineering programs and coordinator of the Research Labs, who led the meetings and presentations.

The C3IS emphasized the importance of this type of visit in strengthening international cooperation and consolidating UC3M as a leading academic destination for students from the United States.

The meeting ended with a positive exchange of ideas and the exploration of new opportunities for collaboration between UC3M and the visiting universities, reaffirming the institution's commitment to internationalization and educational excellence.

During her visit to the campus in Getafe, Hyde had the opportunity to learn about the academic offering at , as well as the internationalization programs and opportunities for collaboration between the two institutions.

The meeting was attended by Álvaro Escribano, director of the C3IS, who highlighted the mutual interest in continuing to strengthen the ties between UC3M and Washington University in St. Louis (), one of the most prestigious universities in the United States.

This meeting reinforces UC3M's commitment to internationalization and the attraction of global talent, opening up new possibilities for academic collaboration between the two institutions.
