Etch a Sketch Workshop
UAL Spain Alumni

We are delighted to invite you to a special half-day workshop hosted by Kiers (a fellow Alumni from Barcelona) at his studio and home in the beautiful setting of Fogars de la Selva. The town is located an hour away from Barcelona, and transport links are to Hostalric or Tordera, and we will arrange a taxi from the stations to the workshop once you have booked.

During the workshop, you will get the opportunity to play around with a very special machine made and designed by Kiers (similar to the one pictured attached). The machine is an Arduino-controlled Etch-a-sketch that controls motors and draws your designs directly onto paper using a pencil stylus. You will get to know how the whole machine works, connect the drawing system with Kiers’ help and get the chance to use it during the day. At the end of the workshop a lottery will be held, and two lucky participants will win a machine each.

Price includes:
All materials required for the workshop.
Guaranteed time on the machine
Whatever you create on the day you can take home with you.
A vegetarian lunch served with love.
You will need to bring:

Business cards for networking.
Sunglasses for the Spanish summer.

Hola everyone!!

Thank you so much to all fellow alumni who came to our first meeting last Saturday!! :)

We had a chance to introduce ourselves and talk about our London & Barcelona experiences in the lovely cafe of Museu Maritim.

To those of you that couldn't make it to the meeting - we would love to hear your ideas on how to facilitate our conversation - especially in the digital sphere, as we all live in different parts of Spain!

We were also thinking of introducing some more practical/dynamic meeting (or workshop) ideas in the future - what do you think about that?
