Our Summer Camp is now in its final week!

What an incredible summer it has been!

Our Primary students have travelled Around the World in Four Weeks, discovering France, Kenya, Japan and Australia through creative projects, STEM activities, outdoor learning and cultural experiences. Every Friday, they’ve taken their learning to our local beach, where themed activities linked to each week’s country have been combined with plenty of opportunities to play and explore.

Meanwhile, our Secondary Summer Camp has helped students preparing to join Mayfair Academy in September build confidence, strengthen key skills and settle into school life before the new academic year begins.

Our annual Sports Day took place once again at Polideportivo El Carmen in Estepona, bringing together students from EYFS through to Secondary for a brilliant day of sport, teamwork and community spirit.

Students competed across a range of events and activities, showing determination, encouragement and excellent sportsmanship throughout the day.

Congratulations to Fula on their well-deserved victory, and a huge well done to all students for their effort and enthusiasm.

Our Stage 9 students recently marked the International Day of Women and Girls in Science with an engaging assembly based on this year’s theme: Changing the Future Through Discovery.

The assembly explored the importance of scientific discovery, the achievements of women in STEM fields, and the need to continue encouraging future generations of girls and young women to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Students reflected on the impact that curiosity, innovation and diverse perspectives have on shaping the future, while also recognising the barriers many women in science have historically faced.

Well done to our Stage 9 students for delivering such an informative and meaningful presentation.

Our Stage 5 and Stage 6 students visited Museo Picasso Málaga, where they enjoyed a guided museum tour followed by a creative workshop delivered in English.

The experience allowed students to explore Picasso’s artistic development while engaging in immersive, hands-on learning activities that encouraged creativity, reflection and cultural understanding.

Educational visits such as these help bring learning to life by connecting classroom learning with meaningful real-world experiences.

Our recent Organisational Psychology taster session gave IGCSE and AS Psychology students the opportunity to explore psychology in action through practical and engaging activities.

Students explored the use of Rorschach’s inkblot test within organisational psychology and discussed how psychologists may assess personality, emotional functioning and cognitive styles in workplace settings.

It has been wonderful to see so many of our Stage 11 students expressing interest in Psychology at A-Level, which continues to be one of our most popular Sixth Form subjects alongside Business and Spanish.

Following the recent success of one of our Class of 2026 students achieving the Cambridge High Achievement Award in AS Psychology, we are looking forward to welcoming another enthusiastic and curious cohort in September!

Members of our EYFS and Lower Primary team attended the Cambridge Early Years Conference 2026 - a three-day online event exploring the theme “Playfully serious: Learning with joy, purpose and possibility.”

The conference focused on the importance of purposeful play within early childhood education and explored how play supports creativity, communication, resilience, self-regulation and academic development in young learners.

At Mayfair, developing a culture of research and evidence-informed practice forms an important part of our ongoing professional development approach. Events such as this help our staff engage with current educational thinking while continuing to bridge the gap between research and everyday classroom teaching.

Our teachers found the sessions engaging, inspiring and highly relevant to practice, and many of the ideas discussed have since been incorporated into EYFS and Lower Primary learning experiences.

Our Business Director, Alejandro Jurado, recently attended a dinner hosted by Hult International Business School in Marbella, bringing together educators and university representatives for conversation around the future pathways of students beyond university.

It was wonderful to hear such positive feedback following the Hult workshop delivered at Mayfair earlier this academic year, with particular praise for the curiosity, confidence and engagement shown by our IGCSE and A-Level students.

We are proud to celebrate one of our Stage 9 students who recently competed in the CADEBA – Campeonato de Andalucía basketball tournament with CAB Estepona.

CADEBA is one of the most competitive youth basketball tournaments in Andalucía, bringing together strong teams from across the region. He was also recognised among the top players in one of the matches – an excellent achievement and a reflection of his hard work and dedication.

Although the team was eliminated in the group stages, participating at this level is something to be very proud of.
