The Etxepare Basque Institute is a public body created by the Basque Government. The institute owes its name to Bernart Etxepare, author of the first book written in Basque language, Linguae Vasconum Primitiae (1545). Etxepare opened its doors to the public at the Prim Street offices in Donostia-San Sebastián; on September 2015 the Etxepare Basque Institute moved to its Permanent Headquarters, loc
