Despite a rather uncomfortable start and a nasty tumble in a tunnel the ride today was quite breathtaking. The first 30 odd kms was a gentle drag uphill but then the fun started. We're now in Tortosa and our final leg of our little adventure will be over. My backside will be glad.

Wow...that was some journey today. Some amazing scenery..a couple of climbs and some really rough via verde....(any ideas that this was anything like a Voie Vert...reject it now). We had a lovely little lunch time nibble in a tucked away aldea. Nearly 120kms later we're in Alcañiz. I've got some glorious tan lines 😎

A much easier day today. The landscape is nowhere near as dramatic as the last few days. However the wide valley gives a feeling of endless space. We're in a sweet town tonight and we can see the transition to a far drier landscape. Looking forward to a walk along the river this evening.

A long day in the saddle (114kms). First part of the ride was beautiful if lumpy. After deciding we'd had enough of pave and tracks we used the N232 which was fast but a tad boring...although we got to see many bodegas of La Rioja.

Day 2 of the journey. Spectacular landscapes and stunning gorges. We've got a sweet little hotel that is more than accommodating for our vegan/ gf diet. 97kms and just over 800m of climbing (to follow the river downhill 🤪😲
