Meet our Erasmus exchange student and communication intern Júlia Chaves.
Júlia is a Master’s student in Olympic Studies at the International Olympic Academy with a background in Physical Education. Based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, her passion for the Olympic Movement began when she was young, playing volleyball and discovering how sport could develop people both athletically and personally.
This interest deepened during university as she coached and explored different areas, witnessing firsthand how sport creates opportunities for growth and inclusion.
During her Master’s at the International Olympic Academy and especially after volunteering at the Winter Olympic Games, Júlia understood the real impact of Olympic values. Working with the Olympic Family showed her that sport can genuinely change lives and bring people together. With extensive experience in sports coaching, event management, and international teamwork, she is committed to building a career around the Olympic Movement—promoting these values and helping people unlock their potential through sport, using it as a tool for education and social development.
Currently, she is doing her exchange program helping the Olympic Study Center Barcelona develop its social media presence and communication strategies.
