Two days of intensive learning and hands-on experience 🙌

On April 10th and 11th, we successfully hosted our “2 Days Advanced Implant Prosthodontics Course” in collaboration with our colleagues from Dentsply Sirona Poland.

Throughout the course, participants gained in-depth knowledge of key implantology concepts, covering essential biological principles for proper treatment planning, as well as the management of advanced clinical cases.

The program also focused on practical applications, working with different variables in implant placement, including:

🔹 Static computer-assisted implant surgery (s-CAIS) using Simplant guides

🔹 Cases using the SmartFix system by Dentsply Sirona

🔹 Dynamic computer-assisted implant surgery (d-CAIS) with Navident EVO

Led by Dr. Fernando Rojas-Vizcaya, this 2-day program delivers a comprehensive, clinically driven experience combining theory and hands-on training.

Participants will work on full-arch maxillary and mandibular models, performing guided surgery (s-CAIS) during the first day workshop, and exploring advanced digital workflows including dynamic navigation (d-CAIS), robotic-assisted surgery (r-CAIS), photogrammetry, and more.

Last Saturday, Dr. Fernando Rojas-Vizcaya had the opportunity to present the latest innovations in navigated surgery and photogrammetry, in collaboration with Navident.

He also shared his most recent clinical case, featuring the use of Zirkonzahn’s Zirconia Ice Plus, the latest advancement in monolithic zirconia prosthetics, and highlighted the benefits of working with BioHorizons’ implants.

Pushing the boundaries of full arch digital workflows.

It was a great pleasure to present a fully digital full arch workflow during the course held at the VISTA Institute in Los Angeles.

The highlight? A metal-free monolithic zirconia prosthesis, made possible thanks to ICE Plus + Prettau®️ 3 from Zirkonzahn—an incredible step forward in both strength and esthetics.

This completely digital approach is designed to minimize discrepancies throughout the entire restorative process. From implant placement to final prosthesis delivery, every step relies on cutting-edge technology to ensure precision and predictability.

We used the Micron Mapper EVO by Navident for dynamic navigation during implant placement and to capture highly accurate digital impressions. For the implants, we worked with the new BioHorizons Tapered Pro Conical, ideal for immediate loading protocols.

Full Arch Implant Reconstruction with Immediate Functional Loading

Over two intensive days at the VISTA Institute in Los Angeles, Dr. Fernando Rojas-Vizcaya and Dr. Homa Zadeh led a hands-on course focused on full arch implant reconstruction with immediate functional loading.

In this advanced procedure, a patient’s failing dentition is removed, dental implants are placed, and fixed teeth are delivered—all in a single day, often within just four hours. Participants experienced firsthand how the integration of cutting-edge technology allows for the precise placement of implants and the same-day fabrication and delivery of a fixed prosthesis.

This same innovative workflow is routinely performed by Dr. Rojas-Vizcaya at his private clinic in Castellón, Spain. Moreover, the Mediterranean Prosthodontic Institute in Castellón offers in-depth training on this technique, including practical sessions using Navident dynamic navigation, which is available on-site for simulation and clinical exercises.

This course provided not only clinical insight but also real-world implementation of the full protocol—from diagnosis to delivery—using the latest in digital planning, navigated surgery, and prosthetic fabrication.
