With over 15 years of experience in Earth Observation, GIS, and Geospatial Intelligence, Maria Górzyńska has contributed to major European initiatives, including Copernicus and the European Defence Fund. Her work focuses on turning complex geospatial data into actionable insights for situational awareness, crisis management, and resilience-building.

At GeoMundus 2026, her presentation, “From Validation Services to Advanced Risk Assessment: Tracasa Global’s Expertise in Emergency Management,” will explore how Earth Observation, risk modelling, probabilistic forecasting, exposure analysis, and AI-supported methods can strengthen preparedness, response, recovery, and decision-making.

🎤 Dr. Mariangela Noviello
📌 Remote Sensing and Geophysics Specialist, United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC)

Dr. Mariangela Noviello brings more than 17 years of experience in geospatial technologies, over eight of them with the United Nations. At the UNGSC's Analytics and Location Intelligence Unit she supports Peace Operations and Special Political Missions, with field deployments in Kosovo and Iraq. Her work focuses on multi-hazard risk assessment for mission planning and heritage protection.

Her keynote at GeoMundus 2026 - Geospatial Intelligence for Disaster Resilience will show how the UN uses remote sensing, flood simulation, image intelligence and night-time light data to strengthen mission planning and operational response, with case studies from Kosovo, Western Sahara and the DR Congo.

📌 Applied Mathematician & Founder, Arbonaut Ltd.

Dr. Tuomo Kauranne has built his career on modeling and simulating geophysical phenomena - from Atmospheric Processes to Forest Ecosystems Worldwide and Aquatic Environments. He founded Arbonaut Ltd. in 1994 and led it as CEO until 2025, overseeing forest inventory and information projects across more than 50 countries on six continents.

His keynote at GeoMundus 2026 – Geospatial Intelligence for Disaster Resilience will explore how fusing field measurements, airborne LiDAR, satellite imagery, and AI can improve wildfire risk mapping, operational response, and proactive mitigation.
