Paul saw worldly wise clever people in Athens in spiritual peril because the city was full of idols, and he was greatly distressed.

Heavenly Father help us to truly trust You at Your word and to follow You wholeheartedly.

Caleb and Joshua example should encourage us to trust God at His word, a promise is a promise, God is a promise keeper.

We wont always be spared difficulties in our God given assignments but we can face them knowing that our Father is always with us. By faith we can do all things.

Caleb and Joshua saw the difficulties ahead in the light of Gods presence and help, they'd face difficulties with Gods power, protection, and resources, not their own.

Caleb and Joshua remembered what God had already promised to give Canaan to His people, they grew confidence from Gods promise.

The ten spies thought God was bringing them to a place of failure to fall by the sword, they said they seem like grasshoppers over Canaan.

The Israelites saw the difficulties in how they were going to defeat the powerful people in the land and subdue it, and their fortified cities.

The Lord is with us.
