Founder of Kyokushin Budokai
After spending decades in Kyokushin Karate and Judo, Jon Bluming believed that martial arts training should prepare practitioners for all aspects of combat, not just striking. Drawing from his experience as a high-ranking Kyokushin karateka and Judoka, he developed Kyokushin Budokai, a system that blended Kyokushin's powerful full-contact striking with Judo throws, grappling, submissions, and groundwork. Bluming felt that a complete fighter should be able to strike, throw, and control an opponent at any range. His approach was considered revolutionary at the time and anticipated many of the concepts that later became popular in modern mixed martial arts (MMA). Through Kyokushin Budokai, Bluming left a lasting legacy as one of the earliest martial artists to promote a truly well-rounded combat system.

Long before Kyokushin Karate became one of the world's most respected full-contact martial arts, Masutatsu Oyama sought students who could demonstrate the effectiveness of his demanding training methods. Among the most notable were Kenji Kurosaki and Jon Bluming, two martial artists renowned for their toughness, dedication, and willingness to test themselves under real fighting conditions. Through years of intense training, they absorbed Oyama's philosophy that true karate is built on discipline, perseverance, and the courage to face challenges head-on.
Their accomplishments helped prove that Oyama's vision was more than theory. Kurosaki became a respected fighter and instructor whose influence helped shape the development of kickboxing, while Bluming played a major role in introducing and expanding Kyokushin throughout Europe. Estoy muy orgulloso de nuestro segundo Shodan este año 2026 en el club Hasekura Dojo Casares después de mi hija Morgane. Simona empezó en el 2018 con 11 años. Consiguió su cinturón negro 1er Dan este pasado sábado 13/6 después de 4 horas 1/2 de examen. Se le entregó su obi y diploma de Kyokushin Budokai Shin Kakuto Gi ayer
