Where there's a Will there's a way- Longest Steepest Highest Quadrathlon On 30th and 31st August 2019 a team will swim, kayak, ride, and run through the Lake District to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy UK

This weekend I swam 2km in Lake Windemere and then canoed 18km down it as part of a quadrathlon called 'Longest, Highest, Steepest, Deepest Quadrathlon'. It was to raise money for Duchenne Myscular Dystrophy research.
Unfortunately we weren't permitted to swim the deepest lake in the UK (Wastwater) as a group due to National Trust rules. However, it was a fabulous team and gorgeous scenery, but not so fabulous weather. Saying that I'd definitely do it all again! What challenge will you set yourself this year?

Fantastic scenery!! I missed out on swimming Wastwater this year but I'm planning on the 3 mile length next summer when its warmer.

East London could be getting a new permanent lido A permanent lido is being planned for an east London dock following the popularity of a “pilot” pool this summer.  The urban beach at Royal Victoria Docks has already welcomed more than 25,000 sunseekers since opening on July 18.  

Nothing better than summer sea swimming

Lovely swim at the 50m open air pool in Banbury at the Woodgreen leisure centre. Nice and clean too. And there is a splash zone for children. Great fun! It's open until 15th Sept.

Jesus Green pool is brilliant at 91m long it's really good for improving stamina.
