That's a wrap! 🎉

After a very interesting second day, we closed the 29th ESDAR Conference & 4th ECAR Symposium by celebrating our talented early-career researchers and announcing the student competition winners.

The winners of the Young Scientist Oral Competition, the Student Poster Competition, and the ECAR Resident Oral Competition received a fantastic prize: a free registration to next year's conference in beautiful Bologna!

Off to a great start on Day 2! ☀️

Our keynote speakers this morning continued to inspire us with cutting-edge insights! Sandra Goericke-Pesch shared a wonderful overview of uterine dysfunction in companion animals 🐕 🐈 , followed by Pat Lonergan, who gave a fantastic talk on the expectations and reality of AI and ET in dairy cows🐄🔬.

So much knowledge in one room. Ready for the rest of the day! 📚

Our conference gala dinner took place at the stunning Lake Ukiel, hosted at the beautiful Przystań restaurant (). Amazing food, fantastic networking, and—keeping up with our yearly tradition—plenty of dancing! 💃🕺

The 29th ESDAR Conference & 4th ECAR Symposium kicked off with an inspiring first plenary session featuring our two fantastic keynote speakers: Michael Morris delivering the Memorial Lecture for Prof. Noakes, and Thomas Hildebrandt sharing insights on conservation in critically endangered species.

👉 Prof. Dr. Sandra Goericke-Pesch 👈

Prof. Dr. med. vet. Sandra Goericke-Pesch is Full Professor in Reproductive Medicine of Dogs and Cats at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover (TiHo) in Germany. She is a Diplomate of the European College of Animal Reproduction (ECAR) and a certified German specialist in animal reproduction and biotechnology. Since 2013, she has served as an elected board member of the European Veterinary Society for Small Animal Reproduction (EVSSAR), where she also took on the role of treasurer.

Her scientific contributions have been recognized with several prestigious accolades, including the Award of the Dres. Jutta & Georg Bruns-Foundation for Innovative Veterinary Medicine and the European Veterinary Award. She is an impactful author in her field, with a portfolio of over 40 original research papers, 25 reviews, 13 book chapters, and more than 100 published abstracts in peer-reviewed international journals.
