115 years ago, Harriet Quimby looked up at the sky and refused to accept it wasn’t for her ✈️

Quimby was a journalist from New York, until a 1910 air show made her change her life. On August 1, 1911, she became USA’s first licensed female pilot.

She wasn’t done yet. In 1912, she crossed the English Channel solo by plane, becoming the first woman to pull off that daring flight 🌊

More than a century later, at FlyBy, we keep on training women brave enough to write their own story in the sky 👩‍✈️
