Final day of the Sogo Budo International Summer Course in Cervo, Spain by Edgar Kruyning, Sogo Budo, the legacy of Minoru Mochizuki.

We concluded an inspiring weekend with a beach training session under clear blue skies and beautiful sunshine. Training in nature offers a unique atmosphere, reminding us that budo is not limited to the dojo—it is a way of life.

Today’s focus was on Kenjutsu, exploring the principles of the sword: distance, timing, precision, awareness, and control. These lessons extend far beyond the weapon itself and strengthen the foundations of all martial arts.

A sincere thank you to everyone who participated, trained with dedication, and contributed to the positive spirit throughout the seminar. Special thanks to the organizers for their hospitality and excellent organization. Edgar received a beautiful award from Miguel Angel Rojo Darriba in name of the organization 🙏

We leave Cervo with new knowledge, great memories, and friendships that continue to grow through budo.

Day 2 – Sogo Budo International Summer Course | Spain 🇪🇸🥋

Another inspiring day in Cervo, Galicia, dedicated to Yoseikan Aikido and Yoseikan Jujutsu by Edgar Kruyning.

Today we explored the connection between traditional principles and practical application, focusing on movement, timing, balance, and effective technique. It was a pleasure to share knowledge with such a motivated and enthusiastic group of budoka.

Thank you to all participants for your commitment, energy, and positive spirit on the tatami. Your dedication made this another memorable day. Edgar Kruyning also graduated Miguel Angel Rojo Darriba and Javier Pelaez 3rd dan Yoseikan jujutsu. They also received the teachers grade Rensi.
