The College of Teacher Education of Buenavista Community College actively participated in the PAFTE VII Regional Assembly 2026 held on August 27–28, 2026, at Fortridge Pavilion, Dauis, Bohol.

With the theme, “PAFTE VII at the Forefront: Navigating EDCOM 2 Reforms and Reframing Teacher Education for Peace and Global Sustainability,”the two-day assembly provided a meaningful avenue for teacher educators to learn, share insights, strengthen professional connections, and discuss the evolving landscape of teacher education.

Representing BCC-CTE were Dr. Venus E. Niñeza, Dean of the College of Teacher Education; Mrs. Ma. Charme A. Añora, Program Chair of BEEd; Ms. Shiela D. Yagong, Program Chair of BSEd-English; and Mrs. Catherine J. Oyao, CTE Faculty Member. Their participation reflects the college’s commitment to continuous professional development and to advancing quality and responsive teacher education.

With the purpose of preparing fourth-year Education students for their upcoming field exposure, the College of Teacher Education initiated the ILAW Seminar 2026, a meaningful learning experience designed to equip future educators with practical knowledge and a deeper understanding of purposeful lesson planning.

Through the insights shared by Dr. Ma. Pamela N. Cenita, the seminar illuminated the path toward becoming more prepared, intentional, and effective educators.
