EIT Manufacturing

The 4-week adventure at Junior University (UJ) has come to an end, and what an incredible ride it was! 🎉

Throughout this program students have explored the Fourth Industrial Revolution, mastering Computer-Aided Design, 3D printing, and creating Augmented Reality (AR) experiences with MetaverseStudio. The final output of each team was a tabletop game designed to educate and inspire young students about the revolutionary technologies and challenges of Industry 4.0. Through their dedication and creativity, these students have not only paved the way for a future generation well-equipped to embrace the technological wonders of our time but have also expanded their own understanding of these transformative advancements.

This success wouldn't have been possible without the invaluable support and guidance from our dedicated monitors João Gonçalves, Rita Borges, and Miguel Sonim! 🙌❤️

🙏 We extend a heartfelt appreciation to Prof Dr. Nuno Cruz, who provided enlightening insights into the research conducted at 'Centro de Robótica e Sistemas Autónomos (CRAS)' of INESC TEC, helping UJ fulfill its mission of getting students closer to the university context.

Additionally, we express our gratitude to EIT Manufacturing and their valuable support and contribution to this transformative learning experience!

As we wrap up this chapter, we look forward to the continued growth and success of all the students who participated in this program 🚀✨

After the resounding success of its experimental edition in 2022, the "Oliva Summer Camp" organized by the Municipality of São João da Madeira is back, and this time, it's bigger and better with the prestigious partnership of Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP)! 🤝🏛️

🎲💡On July 13th, the camp hosted an exciting workshop tailored for high school students. Under the guidance of talented experts from FEUP, the workshop focused on crafting a tabletop game on manufacturing that seamlessly integrated Augmented Reality (AR) elements!

This collaboration allowed education and fun to converge harmoniously. The young participants not only had a blast designing their unique games but also gained hands-on experience with cutting-edge AR technology. 🚀🕹️

Many thanks to Tecnalia for hosting this wonderful meeting in Bilbao! 🙏 Once a year we get a chance to meet in person and discuss the future of project Shaping with our colleagues from across the Europe. This year was no different and we are proud to say that this is the 4th year of this project's continuation 💪

Our activity leaders presented the results in their areas and the ideas for improvement. Feup Porto our project leader from Portugal, Tecnalia from Spain has been our host and leader of creation of demonstrators and seminars together with Πανεπιστήμιο Πατρών University of Patras from Greece followed by geographical neighbours STU - Slovenská technická univerzita v Bratislave from Slovakia responsible for communication and dissemination and Study at CTU in Prague from Czech republic taking care of implementation of project activities. Of course, we cannot forget about implementing the STEAM strategy by University of Tartu in Estonia.
