For years, I genuinely believed this was just what happened to women after 40.
You gain weight.

I was running a business, raising two kids, stressed constantly, sleeping poorly, deep in perimenopause,
and completely disconnected from my body.
At my heaviest, I hit 87kg.
Then came the wake-up call: a back hernia that stopped me cold.
And like so many women, I panicked.
I cut carbs.
Ate less.
Did more cardio.
Tried to force my body into changing.
But all I did was make myself more exhausted, inflamed, and defeated.
The real transformation started when I stopped punishing my body and started supporting it instead.
