Some tap dancers are simply part of the DNA of the event… with that said, we are more than proud to have Roser Font with us for one more year 😍

Tap dancer, choreographer, and teacher, Roser has developed her career between stage performance, creation, and education for over two decades. Trained across multiple dance disciplines, her path has taken her from Barcelona to New York, where she studied and performed alongside some of the most recognized names in the tap community.

As a member of Barcelona Rhythm Tap, she toured extensively across Europe and performed in theaters, television productions, and international stages. She is also the director and choreographer of Trakatap, continuing to build work rooted in rhythm, musicality, and performance.

Alongside her artistic career, Roser has played an important role in the growth of tap in Barcelona through her long-term teaching work at Luthier and her presence in festivals across Europe and the United States.

Introducing a special guest for this year’s edition: Yaron Engler 🥁

Drummer, composer, and long-time collaborator of Hofesh Shechter, Yaron brings a powerful musical perspective into the festival with a focused session on rhythm and improvisation.

In this Friday morning class, the work shifts away from steps and choreography, and into listening, texture, and response. Through guided improvisation, dancers will explore how to relate to rhythm more freely, using the body as a musical instrument and expanding their sense of timing, presence, and expression.

Yaron’s career spans major international productions and stages worldwide, but his approach in the studio is direct: creating space for deeper connection to sound, to movement, and to oneself.

A unique session within this year’s program.

Limited spots! Don’t wait until the last minute ⚡️

Welcoming her for the first time to the festival: 🥰

Originally from Barcelona, Maria began her training at a young age and later specialized in tap at Luthier, before expanding into musical theatre and acting.

In 2015, she moved to New York to further her training, studying at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway with artists including Derick Grant, Barbara Duffy, and Andrew Nemr.

She has since developed her path between performance and teaching across Europe. Now based in Geneva, she works regularly with companies such as Carpe Rhythmum, Martin’s Tap Dance Company, and, more recently, the Sebastian Weber Dance Company.

Her work reflects a generation shaped between cities, influences, and practices, carrying tap into new contexts while staying connected to its roots.

Happy to welcome her back home and into this year’s Faculty!

We couldn’t be happier to announce that our one and only is joining us for another year 😍

Trained at the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona and further shaped in Paris and London, Maria’s career moves across classical, contemporary, Spanish dance, and tap, with a strong foundation in musical theatre.

From early work on stage and television to performances in London’s theatre scene, her path has developed through a wide range of formats, from large-scale productions to more intimate tap and percussive work.

Back in Spain, she has worked as a dancer, choreographer, and teacher, collaborating with companies such as Camut Band and contributing to numerous stage and screen productions, including recent choreographic work for The Producers, Gypsy, and the film Robot Dreams.

Alongside her performing career, Maria has maintained a consistent dedication to teaching, being a regular part of the Professional Tap Program at Luthier.
