Over 80 representatives from European institutions, regional governments, patient organizations, industry and research centers gathered at the for a high-level event led by Biocat, with the support of the and the PRECISEU project.

The debate highlighted how personalized medicine, advanced therapies (ATMPs) and regional innovation ecosystems drive competitiveness, cohesion and equity across the EU. Initiatives like ATMP Catalonia reinforce Catalonia’s role as a European reference hub, connecting talent, capabilities and innovation.

🌐 El programa EIT Health Start-up Amplifier arriba al seu punt final després de tres anys impulsant innovació en l’àmbit de l’epilèpsia.

La iniciativa, liderada per mjn-neuro amb el suport de Biocat i socis europeus de primer nivell, ha tingut com a principal cas d’aplicació el desenvolupament i validació de mjn-SERAS, un dispositiu capaç de detectar de manera precoç les crisis epilèptiques i millorar l’autonomia i seguretat de les persones que conviuen amb aquesta condició.

📊 Els resultats clínics han mostrat una millora significativa en la qualitat de vida dels pacients, amb reduccions d’entre el 63% i el 80% dels accidents derivats de les crisis.

Des de Biocat hem tingut un paper clau com a impulsors i facilitadors de la col·laboració entre els diferents socis, acompanyant mjn-neuro en la seva acceleració, validació i internacionalització.

🚀 The 8th edition of kicks off with eight pioneering health innovation projects!

Barcelona once again hosts this acceleration program promoted by and Cimit (Boston), which this year, thanks to the collaboration with the i4KIDS network at , ensures the participation of projects in the pediatric field.

Over 12 weeks, the teams will receive intensive training in market access, regulation, funding, and connection with the Catalan and international ecosystem, supported by leading speakers and experts.

💡 The 8 selected projects are working in fields as diverse as neonatal brain monitoring, AI-powered stroke prevention, rapid detection of respiratory infections, hair regeneration, and operating room safety.

👉 The program will culminate with a demo day before investors and health sector leaders, consolidating as an international benchmark hub for biomedical innovation.
