Three days in Taichung, and the ZAGA Concept travelled a long way to get there. 🇹🇼

The 2026 Taiwan Full Arch Congress opened with the ZAGA Center Competition, where four centers presented their most demanding cases of severe maxillary atrophy: ZAGA Center Chiayi with Dr. David Hsu, ZAGA Center Ho Chi Minh with Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Hai, ZAGA Center Cairo with Dr. Moustafa Taha and Dr. Haitham El-Maergy, ZAGA Center Sapporo with Dr. Suminori Echizenya, and Dr. Liu Tiliang (ZAGA Center Beijing).

Dr. Carlos Aparicio then took the congress through the origins of the ZAGA Concept, and dedicated the second day to the surgical procedure step by step, soft tissue management, and complication management and risk assessment. The final day belonged to the hands-on session, with Dr. Carlos Aparicio joined at the tables by faculty from across Asia and the Middle East.

Swipe through for the best moments of these three days in Taichung.

Thank you to every participant, moderator, and faculty member who made it what it was. 🤝

Tomorrow, the early bird for the January edition in Barcelona closes. If it has been sitting on your list, today is the day to move it off.

The programme is built around one question you will face in front of every atrophic maxilla: what does this specific anatomy allow? Dr. Carlos Aparicio covers how the ZAGA Concept answers it, Dr. Adi Lorean brings in pterygomaxillary implants, and complications and the ORIS success code close the theoretical side. Everything after that is practice: 3D models replicating real patients, and on the final morning, cryopreserved human heads.

Clinicians tend to arrive wanting a technique and leave with a way of reading the anatomy in front of them. That is the part that stays.

⏳ 24 hours left on the early bird.

Four days in Barcelona, condensed into one video. 🤩

The September 2026 edition of the ZAGA Cadaver Course brought clinicians from around the world to work through the ZAGA Concept from every angle: the theory behind anatomy-guided zygomatic implant placement, pterygomaxillary implants, complication management, and the ORIS success code, then rehearsal on Dental 3D Models built from real patient anatomy, and finally, cryopreserved human heads at the Faculty of Medicine. All of it guided by Dr. Carlos Aparicio, Dr. Adi Lorean (ZAGA Center Tel Aviv), and Dr. Vladimir García.

Watch the recap, then keep an eye on New York. 🗽 The next edition adds something Barcelona doesn’t offer: live surgery observation on a real patient before you work on a cadaver head.

🚨🗽 Three seats left for New York!

The group has always been kept small on purpose, for closer guidance and more focused learning experience. If zygomatic and pterygoid implants are where you want to take your practice, this is the moment.

Four days with Dr. Carlos Aparicio, creator of the ZAGA Concept, and Dr. Jay Neugarten (ZAGA Center New York): the theory behind anatomy-guided placement, rehearsal on dental 3D models built from real patient anatomy, live surgery observation, and hands-on work on cryopreserved human heads.

Four days in Barcelona are hard to fit into a caption, so we wrote them up properly.

The full recap of the September 2026 ZAGA Cadaver Course is now on our blog: what happened in the room each day, the moments that stayed with participants, and the point in the week where the theory on zygomatic implants stops being theory and starts being something you can feel in your hands.

If you are considering a zygomatic and pterygoid implant course, or you were with us and want to relive it, this is the closest thing to being there.

Curious what four days of zygomatic and pterygoid implant training actually feel like? Let the clinicians who were there tell you.

They talk about theory that comes straight from Dr. Carlos Aparicio, live surgery observation with Dr. Jay Neugarten that shows what no lecture can, and a group small enough that you are never watching from the back of the room. More than one of them reaches for the same word to describe the atmosphere: family - the kind of professional and collegial connection that lasts long after the course ends

If you treat patients with severe maxillary atrophy and want a structured, anatomy-guided approach to zygomatic and pterygoid implants, this is where it all comes together — hands-on work on cryopreserved heads included.

Everything from the previous three days came down to this morning at the Faculty of Medicine in Barcelona 🎓

Working on cryopreserved human heads, participants placed zygomatic and pterygoid implants under the guidance of Dr. Carlos Aparicio, Dr. Adi Lorean, and Dr. Vladimir García. The anatomy they had studied on the 3D models was now in front of them, with all its variability.

The September 2026 edition closes here. Thank you to every participant for four days of commitment, and to our faculty for the knowledge and the patience. 🤝
