El verbo “hacer” en español es bastante confuso para los estudiantes de español, porque tiene varios usos y significados que no siempre se traducen directamente. #

La letra hache, en español, es muda. Eso significa que no tiene ningún sonido. La escribimos por motivos etimológicos, pero, con los años, ha perdido su sonido.

Hay algunas excepciones. Por ejemplo, cuando se escribe ch. C+h se pronuncia /tʃ/ como en "coche", que se pronuncia /ˈko.tʃe/, esa /tʃ/ es similar al final de won't, pronunciado por una persona de acento británico.

Ser y estar are easy and difficult at the same time.

It is difficult because in English and other languages they just have one verb for both conceps (and in Spanish we have two verbs), but it is easy if you know well the rule.

This is why we are going to make a series of ser y estar.

Norma uno:

-Usamos "estar" para lugares (places).

Ejemplos:

¿Dónde estás?
¿Estás en Barcelona?
Madrid está en España.

- Usamos "ser" para descripciones que definen a algo o a alguien ("ser" is for things that defines something or someone).

Ejemplos:

Soy profesora.
Soy alta.
¿Eres alemana?

Paso 1: Go to Google Translate and write these words:

Casa, de, mil, con, luz.

Paso 2: Push the speaker in the spanish square.

Paso 3: Repeat the words paying special attention to the vowels (a, e, i, o, u).

Paso 4: Good news. We just have 5 vowels and they always sound the same (There are some exceptions but this is another day's tip).

Paso 5: Now, taking this into account, you can try to pronounce the following words: Miedo, cuidado, mitad, pie, manía.

Paso 6: Check out on Google translate if the sound was what you expected.
