A preparado a alumnos para entrar en professional colleges en Londres y muchos estan hoy trabajando en producciones en el West End , Europa, cruceros, etc. Tambien ha ayudado a cantantes no profesionales a ser aceptados en reconocidos coros tales como The London Symphony Choir. Actualmente, Anna imparte clases de canto a los alumnos de licenciatura en Teatro musical de el Institute of the Arts Barcelona ( IAB), universidad inglesa con sede en Sitges. Por su formación clásica, Anna se especializa en legit y contemporary legit singing, y en la aplicacion del Estill Voice Trainning en el trabajo con cantantes liricos. Nacida en Manresa, Barcelona, Anna estudio el Grado Medio de canto clasico en el Conservatorio de Manresa con Margarida Llado i posteriorment con Assumpta Mateu antes de trasladarse al Reino Unido en el 2004. En Londres continuo estudiando opera con varios profesores de los cuales destaca el tenor Tim Evans-Jones, profesor del Royal College of Music de Londres. En el ambito del teatro musical, en el 2004 conoce a Gillyanne Kayes en Barcelona quien la anima a trasladarse al Reino Unido para estudiar con ella y posteriormente obtener un MA in Performance ( Musical Theatre) en la prestigiosa Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. Como actriz-cantante ha actuado en los escenarios del West End de Londres en la reposicion de " Evita" dirigida por Michael Grandage en el Adelphi Theatre," Zorro, the musical " en el Garrick Theatre en que interpreto como cover el personage de Inez y participo en el workshop de " Lend me a tenor". Anna formo parte del cast de la producion del Barbican/Theatre Stratford East de la opera de John Adams " I was looking at the ceiling and then I saw the sky", en que interpreto a Consuelo junto a la actriz Cinthya Erivo ( ganadora del Tony 2016 ) y esto dio lugar a una invitacion para cantar el rol de Maria en West Side Story Suite con Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. En Espana, actualmente forma parte de los espectaculos "Operetta" y "Allegro" de Cor de Teatre. Formo parte del elenco de Sister Act e interpreto como cover a Mary Patrick, como solista en la "Missa de Bernstein" en el Auditori e interpretando a Paquette en "Candide" de Bernstein en losTeatros del Canal bajo la direccion de Paco Mir. Tambien interpreto a lota en La Corte del Faraon, en los Jardines Sabatini en Madrid. ENGLISH :

Anna Mateo has broad teaching experience alongside a career as a singer across the genres of musical theatre and classical singing as well as a session singer. She is currently in the second stage of the Estill CMT pathway under the mentorship of Helen Rowson. Anna has previously taught at Bird College as a technical singing teacher and taught both Acting through Song and technical classes at the Urdang Academy. Originally from Barcelona, Anna obtained her classical singing diploma at conservatoire before she relocated to the UK in 2004 and graduated from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama with a MA in Performance (Musical Theatre). Highly experienced in musical theatre, she has performed in the West End stages in the last revival of Evita at the Adelphi Theatre, Zorro, the musical at the Garrick Theatre where she covered and played Inez, and workshopped Lend me a tenor. Anna was part of the cast of the Barbican/Theatre Stratford East production of John Adams’ I was looking at the ceiling and then I saw the sky, where she played Consuelo and this resulted in an invitation to sing the role of Maria in West Side Story as a soloist with the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. In Spain she has recently been seen playing Paquette in Bernstein’s Candide at Teatros del Canal, Lota in the Spanish operetta La Corte del Faraon, and as ensemble/cover Mary Patrick in Sister Act. A self-confessed voice and performance geek, Anna is thrilled to be part of her students path to a performing career and hopes to inspire them to be curious in life, artisans in rehearsals and poets on the stage!
