10 years ago I bought a wooden utensil in Mexico for no other reason than the fact that it looked interesting. It has been in my kitchen since then, always wondering what was the actual purpose of it.
>>Is it for mashing purée?
>>Or to be used as a mortar?
It has been the big unresolved mystery in my kitchen, but I knew I couldn’t let go of it, that somehow one day I would figure it out.

And once again, the Universe reveals itself as this cosmic joke! I recently attended a Cacaoista apprenticeship with and my lovely roommate had exactly the same “wooden thing” in her little altar next to the bed. I say: “Oh! What is this? I have had the same one for years and I don’t really know what it is!” And she blows my mind saying “This is a ‘molinero’, to whisk cacao and make it foamy!”.

Voilà! Mystery solved! But how unbelievably beautiful this life is that past Me knew one day I would be working with Cacao plant medicine and I would use the random object I once bought in a market in Oaxaca.

I love this Life that keeps showing me the magic of it All!

Honoring the today in a private ceremony to let the dreams become real.

Test run for the Vegan Tapas Workshop tomorrow!

Last night we tried out some@of the recipes that we will be offering tomorrow at the ! After a delicious meal with amazing company we had some feedback on the different recipes and the winner was....The Vegan Alioli! What an unbelievable texture!

You will make and taste:
~ sobrasada
~ pimientos del piquillo
~ patatas bravas
~ alioli
~ morcilla
~ and surprise dessert
All vegan of course!

The Spice of Life!

💥 An explosion of colours and flavors in my kitchen today! 🌈

As the days go shorter and the rain quiets the city, the fire is on in people’s homes, with hearty soups and stews that will warm your bodies and hearts!

🥣 Today, chickpeas soup with orange and purple sweet potato, spinach and a handful of spices from the zouk: curcuma, cumin, zatar, pepper and chilly.

🍛 Nothing better that a good old Green Thai Curry on a chilly Tuesday!

I love using fresh lemon grass! It can be hard to find but once you do, buy lots and freeze them! They keep super well and will always be there to be used in curries, soups, rice, steamed vegetables etc.

Come to my next workshop about Vegan Tapas! It will be so much fun to learn how to transform delicious morsels into heavenly healthy finger foods!

🍲 Winter Warmer Soup🥣

I came home last night after this first day of winter and my amazing partner had prepared the most delicious soup!

🍠 Purple sweet potato🍠 with ginger and tom-yum sauce. Spicy and delicious! I love this time of the year because sweet potatoes are everywhere in the streets, and I recently discovered that there are more than 250 different varieties!

They are perfect boiled, steamed, baked, purées, even fried!!

We will show some autumn/winter vegan recipes In our next course on November 8th in Barcelona. Turn your winter meals into delicious harvest dishes!
