Last week it was my birthday! 🥳 So, here's a useful expression related to our ages 🎂⬇️
✨ Cumplir X años = To be/turn X (years old) ✨
Examples:
- Next year she will be 30, so she's going to have a big party to celebrate. 🎉
- You'll turn 5 tomorrow. What flavour of birthday cake would you like? 🍰
What about you? What flavour of birthday cake would you like? ¡Te leo! 👀❤️

¡Ojo! Cuanto antes te pongas en contacto conmigo, más probabilidades tendrás de encontrar pareja en el momento que más te convenga, ya que las plazas son limitadas 🏃♀️🏃♂️

I'm really asking! How do you like your eggs? 😅🥚 ¡Te leo en los comentarios! 👀
I like them all (raw egg is an ingredient in some cocktails! 🍹👀) but, if I had to choose, I'd say my favourite is probably fried. 🍳
Did you think this post was egg-cellent? 😎

I get it. Hablar un idioma extranjero da miedo, nos hace sentir vulnerables, pero preocuparnos por algo que PODRÍA ser difícil no nos ayuda. Más bien hace que suframos dos veces 🙈
Go for it. You might even enjoy yourself! 🥳
Si te ha servido, ¡compártelo! ❤️

No siempre podemos traducir una oración palabra por palabra... And this is one of those occasions!
En inglés, 'hot', 'cold', 'right', etc. son adjetivos. Estas palabras describen quiénes somos/estamos 🙆♀️
En español, esas palabras describen lo que tenemos 💁♀️
Two different perespectives of the same idea. Fascinating 🤩

Which quote is your favourite?
Personally, I love Flora Lewis' quote. ❤️
I love when a word exists in one language but doesn't exist (meaning it doesn't have a direct translation) in another language, because it's an example of two cultures thinking differently. 🤔
One culture needed a word and the another hadn't even considered the concept of that word 🤷♀️
Like 'sobremesa' in Spanish. English didn't see the need for a specific word to describe those lovely, long after-dinner conversations 🙅♀️🤯
Send this to a friend who loves languages as much as I do 📨🤭❤️

Whoever we love (our family, our friends, our partners, our pets...), many of us won't want language to stop us being able to make sure that that person feels loved 🥰
What sentence do you love hearing from your loved ones (tus seres queridos)? 👂🤗
