At Little Forest, children can stay with us from 0 to 6 — six years of continuity, in the same building, with educators who watch them grow and a community of families that becomes a second home.

Two pedagogies. One coherent vision. 🌿
We follow the Montessori method — child-led learning, mixed-age groups, hands-on materials, freedom within limits — combined with the British EYFS framework (Early Years Foundation Stage), which gives structure to seven key areas of development: communication, physical, personal/social, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and expressive arts.
Why both? Because Montessori gives children the autonomy and depth of focus that builds character, while EYFS ensures we observe, document and support each child's progress with rigour and intention.
Our team is trained in both approaches, and our planning reflects them every single day.

At Little Forest, English and Spanish are not subjects — they are the air we breathe. Our educators speak naturally to the children in both languages throughout the day, in context, with songs, stories, conversation and play.
Children absorb languages effortlessly between 0 and 6, the so-called 'absorbent mind' Maria Montessori described. The earlier the exposure, the more natural the fluency.
Our families come from all over the world, and our classrooms reflect that beautifully diverse reality.

In our Infants room (0–1), every baby gets the calm, attentive presence they need to feel safe and to grow at their own pace. Our ratios are intentionally small — because at this age, secure attachment isn't a luxury. It's the foundation of everything that comes after.

It’s been a little quiet here at Little Forest Montessori… and that’s intentional 🌿

We’ve chosen to spend less time on screens, so we can spend more time where it truly matters: with the children.

In a world where everything is shared instantly, we believe in slowing down. In being present. In leading by example.

Because the truth is — children don’t need screens. They need connection, movement, nature, real conversations, and time to simply be.

Research continues to show that screens exposure can affect children’s attention, memory and emotional development, and is linked to anxiety, sleep problems and difficulties with social skills.
It can even replace the very experiences that help them grow — like play, interaction and human connection.

And it’s not just children. As adults, we also feel the impact — distraction, comparison, overstimulation…
So we take care of ourselves too. Because how we live becomes what they learn.

Of course, we understand that social media is part of today’s world. It connects, informs, and inspires.
But like everything, it needs balance… and intention.

At Little Forest, we choose to be mindful.
To protect childhood.
To create spaces where children are not observers of life through a screen, but active participants in it.

So yes — we may be a little quieter here.
But out there, in the forest, in the classroom, in the small everyday moments… there is so much life happening 🌱

Every December, our Little Forest children visit the local elderly home to bring a little joy, sharing smiles 😄🫶, and time together 🎁💛.

There’s something truly magical about children 👦🏽👧🏾👦🏻 and elders 👵🏿👴🏼👵🏻 together—the laughter 😂, the stories 📖, the warmth 💖.

These visits help children grow in kindness 🌟, empathy 🤗, and confidence 💪, while bringing happiness and companionship to the elderly 🧓🏽👵🏾.

Moments like these remind us how beautiful it is when generations connect ✨💫.
