This week's expression is inspired by the popular Christmas image of the drummer boy. To "MARCH TO THE BEAT OF YOUR OWN DRUM" means to be unconventional and do things in your own way, different from the rest.

*In this expression, "MARCH" is a verb meaning to walk in a military way, "BEAT" is the rythm, and "DRUM" is the instrument.
