Welcoming Back Salma Abd El Kader from Egypt for Her Third Residency at Art Print Residence
We are delighted to welcome back Salma Abd El Kader from Egypt for her third residency at Art Print Residence.
During this residency, Salma continues to expand her exploration of soft-ground etching, investigating its expressive possibilities through a variety of printing approaches and experimental inking methods. She is also developing a series of large-scale copper plates, pushing her practice towards greater complexity, scale, and technical refinement.
As her project evolves, this residency provides an opportunity to deepen her research into texture, mark-making, and the rich visual language of intaglio printmaking. We are excited to accompany her on this next stage of her artistic journey and look forward to seeing the new works that emerge from her time in the studio.

Micaela Muzi on her second day of residency at Art Print Residence, working on a large-scale photopolymer plate.

As she continues to develop her project, Micaela is carefully refining and editing the image, exploring the possibilities of direct-to-plate photopolymer printmaking. Through a process of experimentation, precision, and creative decision-making, the plate gradually evolves, revealing new layers of depth and visual complexity.

At this moment we are launching a 2-week residency in collaboration with the Southern Graphic Council International (SGCI) for a small group of 4–8 artists. 

The dates are August 2–14, 2026. Accommodation can be provided at the residency in either individual or shared bedrooms, especially if you book soon. 

The program includes tuition in copper plate etching and aquatint. The studio is fully equipped with tools, inks, and everything you need to develop your printmaking project. 

The residency includes: 
* 9 guided studio days 
* Contemporary printmaking workshop
* Materials included: 
* 2 large copper plates (33 × 50 cm), which can be cut into smaller pieces 
* 3 sheets of Hahnemühle paper (300 g/m²) 
* 3 sheets of assorted Japanese papers
* A full cultural day in Barcelona 
* An excursion to Cadaqués, Costa Brava 
* Exhibition at Taller Galeria Fort 
* Exchange Portfolio: Catalonia Colour’s Palette

Bonnie Marsh Last day of the workshop and final exhibition.

Throughout the week, Bonnie has been exploring the fascinating world of Mokulito (Japanese lithography on wood) under the guidance of Ariadna Abadal.

The final exhibition presents the results of her creative journey, bringing together experimentation, technical exploration, and the unique expressive qualities of this contemporary Japanese printmaking technique.

A wonderful way to celebrate the end of an inspiring week of learning, research, and artistic discovery at Art Print Residence.

Final day of residency — Final Exhibition & Certificate Presentation

Art Print Residence proudly celebrates the completion of the residency of Alpha Greeff and Reno Greeff from South Africa.

Throughout June 2026, they immersed themselves in an intensive exploration of direct-to-plate photopolymer printmaking under the guidance of Ariadna Abadal. Through experimentation, research, and dedicated studio practice, they developed a remarkable body of work that reflects their creative journey and artistic growth.

The residency concludes with a final exhibition and the presentation of certificates, marking the culmination of an inspiring month of learning, exchange, and printmaking.
