So as you know my dad went back to UK through ilness a few years ago. Since then he has taken on first, Rollo and now Cooper, he is wondering if anyone here would be interested in a new page about them and their antics? If enough people are interested, (by comment, like, share etc ) a page will be set up in the next two weeks. Rollo has the same "script writer " as Estrella and Tosca, Cooper is almost as cute as Ben was and just as daft! Please leave your thoughts and hope to see you all soon.

It’s with a heavy heart that I tell you that Lucca passed away yesterday. Juan was able fly in to spend some quality time with her in her last few days and we were both at her side as she took her last breath.

Lucca served in Marine Corps for 6 years. Her service included 2 deployments to Iraq and 1 to Afghanistan. She led over 400 hundred patrols and saved countless lives, mine and Juan’s included. In retirement, she became an ambassador for the Military Working Dog (MWD) community and brought awareness regarding the service and sacrifice of our MWDs and their handlers.

Lucca truly was a special dog. Juan and I are both fortunate to have served as her handlers. We will forever be grateful for her service and companionship. After her injury, we did our best to keep her spoiled during her well-deserved retirement. We truly appreciate the time we were able to share with Lucca. Lucca’s incredible personality and spirit left a lasting impression on us and countless others who knew her.

Never above you, never below you, always beside you

Rest in Peace Lucca, we love you.
