This year my quest to encourage children to enjoy and further their reading in Year 6 and Year 7 has reaped some very satisfactory fruits - 17 students have read one of these books: Holes, Running Wild, The Silver Sword, Opal Plumstead and Moon Flight. 14 of them then have gone on to write the reviews that you see on the display.
The books were chosen by a panel of UK advisers in order to award the prestigious TILT Prize for best Book Review. The Award’s finalists and recipient will be announced during the Annual Conference of NABSS, National Association of British Schools in Spain.
Our school won the 1st prize in 2024, which shows that the important thing is to take part and to believe that you can do it. We at the English Department of British Montessori are very proud of our students and their achievements.
