Today, Year 4 students visited the Casa de la Cultura to attend a talk by Alfredo Gómez Cerdá, a well-known children’s author, as part of this week’s International Poetry Festival programme. It was a very enriching experience for our students. Many thanks to Srta.Peral and Mrs Drummond for accompanying the children to this event.
Hoy, los alumnos de Year 4 visitaron la Casa de la Cultura para asistir a la charla de Alfredo Gómez Cerdá, reconocido autor de literatura infantil, dentro de la programación del Festival Internacional de Poesía que se celebra esta semana. Fue una experiencia muy enriquecedora para nuestros alumnos. Muchas gracias a la Srta. Peral y a Mrs Drummond por acompañarlos durante esta actividad.

Today Year 9 had the chance to listen to Espido Freire, and it was a really interesting talk. One message stood out in particular: in the future, strong reading and writing skills will make the difference. Just as learning languages used to be essential, the power of words will be a key skill in the years ahead. A simple but very valuable message for our students.
Hoy Year 9 ha tenido la suerte de escuchar a Espido Freire, y ha sido una charla muy interesante. Nos quedamos especialmente con una idea: en el futuro, saber leer y escribir bien marcará la diferencia. Igual que antes aprender idiomas era clave, ahora el poder de la palabra será fundamental. Un mensaje breve, pero muy valioso para nuestros alumnos.
