The most interesting thing when hanging with your pals out (Britishers mainly) is hearing a bunch of slang words or expressions per second, your brain goes like 'whaaat...hold on a minute...did you say?...) Music is loud or everyone is diving in the hustle and bustle of the conversation so you ain't got that much time to figure out what's going on, one must be quick in picking them up or will become lost in the corner of the shame being unable to follow the chat.

That's the only way to learn 'real English': hanging out, stepping in some pubs, talking to people while queueing...jumping in the real world.

Here you are some of the recent expressions I've heard among others.

Which is your favourite one?
Mine is 'dodgy' means something unreliable, doesn't seem ok, smells funny.

From the 26th to 30th of September, 2022, members of E-SCHOOL attended the 2nd LTTA of the AR4EFL project in Chester, UK. Throughout the week, the participants, teachers and educators, took part in various workshops, where they had the opportunity to use the developed AR application and the Lesson Plans, as tools to design their own lessons. Moreover, they got familiarized themselves with the use of new technology in the classroom and acquired new skills required while teaching EFL to the new generation of digital natives.

First certificate, Advance, Cambridge, IELTS, TOEFL,Trinity, EOI...
There's a bunch of exams to go for it, question is: which one do I need?
It depends on your objectives and institution, organization or university you are intended to apply.
Consult with your teaching centre the most suitable for you and crack it on!

I love reading and I'm currently doing my PhD in English Literature, that's why it was impossible to me to skip a bookshop and get some classics like Shakespeare or Dickens.
What I love most of these stores is the smell of old, classic books and shelves, also the pleasant noise of the wooden floor when walking in.
Every time I travel I look for a bookstore that reminds me of medieval ages, so when I'm back I go straight away to grab some more. That's one of my hobbies among hundreds more I have.

After a training week is so rewarding to get your certificate as a result of your efforts, short sleeps, long days and still some time for sightseeing and hanging out with new friends.
Exhausted but proud and happy.

What I like the most of attending such teaching training programmes is getting the opportunity to make friends from around the world, teachers like me willing to learn from each other, getting to know the varied methodologies applied in class in different countries, and of course, hanging out after the event around the city.
I'm very proud to be a teacher, and prouder to be yours.

Before becoming a teacher, we invest a lot of time and money in our education, university, masters, certificates, I really mean a lot of money! Once you are a teacher we need to go on our trainings because we must keep ourselves updated, catch up with new technologies, make some boundaries with teachers from other countries to learn from each other. This is how a teacher professionally grows, and absolutely has a direct impact on students.
Being a teacher is an ongoing and never ending learning path.

As you know I'm on a business trip but I always find the way to meet people to get to know more about the city and uses and some typical words or expressions. That's a point after all.

To me, it's an amazing cultural, cosmopolitan and juvenile city to visit with lots of students from all over the world.

Just walking around one can feel how modern and old mix and match perfectly, making the city an overwhelmed one to find varied entertainment every single day of the week.

Located near the West coast you can smell the sea even in the distance which is a pleasant sense.

One of the things that caught my attention was everyone addresses you as 'love' even if they don't know you! As a cute and lovely way to make bonderies or just being nice to you.

I went to exchange some money and the guy said to me when saying goodbye ' have a good day, love'

I went to the supermarket, btw, groceries are a bargain! And when paying the cashier said to me ' and here you are the change, love'

Even when I asked someone for some direction he turned around and said to me 'yes, love'

Maybe it's a trend...I like it 😊

If you want to know more about this city, ask me, it would be a pleasure to share my experience with you

I went out with some friends last Saturday and we really felt like summer: good vibes, tan people, the sound of the beach, music outside...we thought 'yeaah summer is here!'

Without expecting it someone asked me for idioms when talking about summer.
Well...here you are some 👆

Save it or share it, it might be needed further 😉

Funny expression to use when hanging out with some friends, going to a restaurant or for a drink...

'there's no 'we' in fries' means I don't use to share what I really, really like...I mean, what is mine, it is MINE, and I don't share it

Situation:

When friends and I go for lunch, they use to share dishes like salad or desserts, except me, I wanna have my own dish and I don't share it because I love eating so if someone asks me something like "would you like to order a pizza and share it with me?" I would definitely say: "oh,sorry, but there's no we in fries, I'm a greedy foody" 🍔🍕🥙🌯🍗🥪
